Hi @jarnovos.
However, after changing all the custom triggers (Statistics – cmplz_event_statistics and Marketing – cmplz_event_marketing) to “All Pages”, I saw that it probably didn’t work properly.
LinkedIn tag example
In the Chrome developer tools, I saw that after changes to “All Pages”, even before the user’s consent, LinkedIn files, e.g. ln_or, were loading for us. Eventually, I retracted this change and set the custom trigger again for the LinkedIn tag in GTM (Marketing – cmplz_event_marketing). Now it seems that everything is ok, because LinkedIn files are loaded only after consent is given.Example of a Google Analytics tag – Universal version
In one of the articles about Google Consent Mode I read that Complianz gives you the option to enable Google Consent Mode?only for GA4. So, since turning on?Google Consent Mode does not communicate with GA Universal, and we collect data on both services until July 2023, I restored custom triggers for the GA Universal tag (Statistics – cmplz_event_statistics). Now GA Universal only loads after consent is given.
Currently, the GA4 tag is loaded before giving consent to users. As I understand from your post this is the correct action, right?
Hi @jarnovos,
on the website https://eureca.com.pl/ I implemented Google Analytics 4, then I bought the Premium Complianz version.
So far I’ve had GTM configured custom triggers Statistics (cmplz_event_statistics – for GA4, GA Universal) and Marketing (cmplz_event_marketing – for LinkedIn).Today I enabled Google Consent Mode and made changes to GTM according to this article https://complianz.io/consent-mode/ and specifically this part “Changing your current configuration”. So for the GA and LinkedIn tags, I removed?the Complianz?custom triggers and added the “All Pages” trigger.
After the changes, I see that my Google Analytics tags (Universal and GA4) are loading.
I understand that this should not be the case. Have I missed something?
Hi
ZdzichuHi @jarnovos
I inserted the css proposed in the article by Complianz > Barer Cookie > General > Use your own CSS and it works ??
Thanks alot.Hi
ZdzichuI see him.
It’s the “(Demo) GA4 Consent Mode” tag.
There’s also the “(Demo) Pageview with Exceptions” tag.
Both were added by a container imported from Complianz.
The question is what to do with them? Can I remove them from GTM?Hi
ZdzichuHi @jarnovos,
you were right.
We had added Google Analytics tracking code in one more plugin.
I’ve now removed that code, but unfortunately users are still saving google files before opting in.Can you take a look at what’s the matter?
Hi
ZdzichuHi,
I am implementing Complianz on the second website https://www.controlling-systems.pl/ (also run in Poland, in the European Union) and it seems to me that I am doing everything according to the instructions for the previous implementation, and yet Google and LinkedIn files are loading before consent is given. In Comlianz plugin I have GTM checked and GTM plugin for WP detected.
- In GTM I have:
a) imported Complianz custom triggers as described here – https://complianz.io/importing-tag-manager-container/
b) configured triggers – cmplz_event_statistics and cmplz_event_marketing
c) configured LinkedIn tag – activated by cmplz_event_marketing and configured GA4 tag triggered by cmplz_event_statistics
Unfortunately, the cookie banner before the user’s decision does not block either Google Analytics or LInkedIm files.
I will be grateful for your help.Hi
ZdzichuAnd one more thing.
Because I plan to implement GA4 and switch to the Complianz paid version (to enable Google Consent Mode).
Is there any suggested order of these steps?
What would you advise to do first?Hi
ZdzichuThanks a lot @aahulsebos,
It works ??
I’ll be watching the stats.Hi
ZdzichuHi @jarnovos,
in the free version of the plugin I only have three options:Accept > Reject > View Preferences
Accept > Reject > Save Preferences
Accept > RejectI am interested in the option:
Accept > View PreferencesIs something like this possible?
Hi
ZdzichuHi @jarnovos
I hope that in a few days we will implement GA4 and see in practice if anything changes.
I will also try the Complianz premium version with Google Consent Mode enabled.I still have a question, is it possible to use a banner with a limited number of buttons for I ACCEPT and PREFERENCES in the premium version? So that a possible REJECTION could take place after clicking on PREFERENCES and our message about the essence of statistical files.
Hi
ZdzichuHi @jarnovos
I’m coming back with the topic because since March 7, 2023, when we successfully configured the blocking of Google Analytics cookies using GTM, I’ve been observing a spike in visits in Google Analytics.Either users, seeing the cookie banner, resign from visiting, which is very bad information, or they reject consent, so we will not know anything.
Are there any ways to improve this?
- In a few days we will switch to GA4, which records events independently of cookies. Will this make us any better?
- Could Google Consent Mode be relevant here?
Hi
ZdzichuHi @jarnovos
So I will wait patiently and check the synchronization ??
And most of all, many thanks to you for your patience and all your help.Hi
ZdzichuThanks @jarnovos
I have two more questions:
Why does the SALESmanago service not have a visible checkbox in point 6 of the cookie policy? Will I be notified in any way that Salesmanago files are already described in CookieDatabase.org? The question is when to enable sync for them?
Hi
ZdzichuAnd the last topic.
I come back to the topic of Salesmanago and the organization of their files in point 6 of the cookies policy. Some time ago you wrote that their files have not yet been described on CookieDatabase.org, but if I want I can describe them manually.Below is an edit of the Salesmanago file description (the description itself is taken from their page describing tracking files).
Whereas in the cookie policy document:
a) in point 6, the SALESmanago service did not appear in the table
b) the file smuuid I described is still in the “Miscellaneous” category and there is no description next to it.Have I missed something?
Hi
ZdzichuThanks a lot @jarnovos
I moved the LinkedIn Insights Tag (the entire script with the <img element) to GTM. I created the tag and trigger following your directions. I tested it and it seems to be working. Can you check it with your tools?
Hi
Zdzichu - In GTM I have:
