In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Jetpack publicizeHi Daniel,
Thank you for your reply.
I have re-installed the Jetpack plugin, including social connections. I continue to see the same error.
I think it’s because I once had my site linked through a different account that I had to cancel.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Jetpack publicize errorPerhaps I misunderstand.
My site is a www.ads-software.com site (self-hosted at rightingtheship.ca). I created an account with wordpress.com solely to use Jetpack. The instructions you direct me to seem to be for a wordpress.com hosted site. Are they the same thing?
Currently, rightingtheship.ca is an entirely new install which I did because of the Jetpack issue I was having. Yet somehow traces of an old Jetpack account for rightingtheship.ca are interfering with my current use of Jetpack. This is why I’m wondering if the solution isn’t on that end of things.
If there is no way for those traces to be removed, Ill simply delete Jetpack in its entirety.
I do thank you for your guidance.

I believe that closing an earlier account accidentally (and improperly) caused the problem I now have. As I’ve explained, I see two instances of each connection (twitter and tumblr) that are creating the conflict. The only solution I see must come from the wordpress.com side of things. If wordpress.com deletes all traces of my account for rightingtheship.ca I can then create a new account without conflicts.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Jetpack publicize errorHi,
Thank you for your help.
I followed your suggestion and created a new blog post. Unfortunately, the connections are still listed twice and do not work.
I’m thinking the solution would be to delete my wordpress.com details in their entirety and re-register. I can create a new email address for that purpose. Is this something we can do?

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Publicize errorHi,
My apology for the lack of follow-up (I was caring for a sick friend).
I think I know what the issue is but I do not know how to fix it. When I go to schedule a post to publish, the publish checklist shows my twitter and tumbler connections twice. I believe that there is a conflict between those “connections”. Is there a way for WordPress.com to reset the connection so I can re-register and start from scratch?
