Have you tried to change your theme to ‘plain’ and turn of the thumbnails option? You should get those results you want on nikolajcosterwaldau.org blog.

Hm, this certainly doesn’t sound right, but we’d like to take a closer look of what you are talking about, if possible. Would you be so kind and send us a link to one of your blog posts (where the thumbnails are showing up funny)?

The only way to change the height & width of your thumbnails right now is to either change the theme of your related posts or if you play around with the CSS code in your plugin settings menu.

Hm, this does sound a bit weird, yes! Would you go delete your browsing data (cache), restart your browser and try again then? Did that help or does the problem persist?

Also — would you mind telling us which are the other plugins on your WordPress’s Dashboard? And the browser extensions you have installed? We’d like to replicate the problem and this comes very useful for us.

It also helps to disable all these plugins or/and extensions to see if one of them is causing us problems. Or to switch browsers. Did this help in any way?

This is true, we cannot argue with that, the “casual blogger” is someone we want to help in the first place and that’s why we think that the credits in captions are our (and theirs) safest option. At least for now.

Well, we could try to modify it, although even we ourselves are not sure if this is going to work after the next update.

Go to your plugin settings, find & select the settings.php file, and change the 525 line from the following code:

<option value=”30″ <?php selected($options[‘max_related_post_age_in_days’], 30); ?>>1</option>

… into this one:

<option value=”14″ <?php selected($options[‘max_related_post_age_in_days’], 14); ?>>14 days</option>

Don’t forget to click on the ‘Save’ button and when the plugin updates, don’t mess with the file again. (Or do, if this line of code changes again.)

As for your problem — I took a look at some of your blog-posts and found out that most of them are returning related posts that are related (and quite a lot of them), but this still depends on how they are (the blog-posts, that is) described, written and indexed.

Yes, there are more and more blog-posts being indexed more properly with every first visit on the blog-post which has been recommended as a related post. It usually doesn’t take long for a blog to be properly indexed (a couple of days at the most), but some older blog-posts take longer than usual.

Would you mind sending us the link to that specific blog-post where you don’t like the results of our plugin? (I tried to search for it but unfortunately got an Error 500.)

Yeah, we are aware of that, but we like to take just a tiny bit of credit for the free service we are offering. For what it’s worth, we think we designed our image signature quite minimalistic, so that it fits most websites themes, but we are also sad to see you don’t like it.
