In reply to: [Comment Edit Core - Simple Comment Editing] Stopped working.Just installed 2.4.0 and it seemed to work fine when I wasn’t logged in. I also tried it logged in as admin and it didn’t show the edit button but I’ve never tried it before logged in so don’t know if this is the correct behaviour?

In reply to: [Comment Edit Core - Simple Comment Editing] Stopped working.Been using this for many years without any problems but cautious about updating from 2.3.12 to 2.4.0.
Has this issue been resolved or has anyone else had any problems?
Thanks!

I have taken over an Ionos WordPress site and I have the same issue. I think all the files are identical (but I’ve not checked them all) and it does look like they are simply php.ini files that Ionos has placed there and probably nothing to worry about. This is one of the 109 php.ini files I have.

Many thanks.

Apologies, Andrew. It’s on my wife’s PC on her own website. Just asked her and she says she’s not seen it recently. There must have been something delaying the page loading, but whatever it was, it’s resolved itself. All OK now.
Thanks for checking!
Ah. I noticed that the page didn’t seem to finish loading. I went away for a bit and have just come back to it – the toolbars are now visible. If I refresh, the toolbars don’t show but the page is still loading. Maybe a server cache issue? Although why would having a post title and saving draft make a difference?
Let me test a bit more…
Hi Andrew
Thanks for the quick response.
This is a bit outside my comfort zone, but (trying to copy what looks like the relevant info from the Chrome console):
JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 1.4.1
[Intervention] Slow network is detected. See https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5636954674692096 for more details. Fallback font will be used while loading: https://www.<domain>.com/wp-content/plugins/google-captcha/bws_menu/fonts/bwsicons.ttf?edecf2
(I think this has to do with the BestWebSoft CAPTCHA plugin)[Intervention] Slow network is detected. See https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5636954674692096 for more details. (There are several more similar errors, but I have no idea what they are)The first that mentions tinymce is:

Is that what you’re looking for? If not, let me know – I can usually follow instructions…

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Reply-to doesn’t work anymore in GmailBingo!
That seems to have worked for me too. I had a contact@<domain> mail account set up and Gmail fetches from that – that was entered as the To and From addresses in the CF7 form. When I changed the From address to contact-form@<domain> to make it different, replying from Gmail in a browser correctly sends to the correct email address.
Thanks very much for finding that out. I’m sure it’ll help many others too.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Reply-to doesn’t work anymore in GmailThanks, @vineblog
I need to do some investigation: just tried replying to an email from one of my sites from my iPhone mail app and it seems to do it properly, but checking gmail on my PC shows that it would also have replied to the correct address. Something fishy here – I’ve definitely found it replying to the wrong address, but from a different website.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Reply-to doesn’t work anymore in GmailIt’s really strange if gmail did not use the reply-to parameter. Anyone any idea why they would drop it? It seems like a basic email function – unless it was something that was being abused by spoofing?

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Reply E-mail Contact form ProblemI am also seeing this problem and it only seems to have occurred since the last update.
I had the reply-to fields correctly set up as @mwarbinek details above – nothing has changed and it worked properly prior to the last update for CAPTCHA V3.
This does look like a new CF7 issue. As @smallstar67, @philipp-kainz and others have said, it might be a clash with gmail.
So, do you think it’s an issue with WordPress 4.9.6, SCE, the template or something else?
I’ve just tried it again on a different machine with a different browser (Opera). It is entirely repeatable.
I submitted one comment without ticking the box (in an incognito window as I was logged in as admin). I could see the comment in the back end so it was successfully submitted but it did not show on the page in the frontend either as submitted or with the SCE timer counting down.
I then submitted a second comment, this time ticking the box. The comment appeared with the timer counting down and I could also now see the previous comment with its counter still counting down.
If you’d like to try it, post a comment on edzardernst.com – just say it’s a test comment and I’ll catch it in the back end.
