In reply to: [Video Conferencing with Zoom] participants can’t join roomsHey Deepen,
Have you had a chance to investigate the issue with people adding themselves to breakout rooms further? It would be great to know when this issue will be resolved.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Video Conferencing with Zoom] participants can’t join roomsThanks for looking into this Deepen.
Just to add some clarification on this… If you switch to fullscreen via browser and assign users to breakout rooms then this does work. Meaning we can see the breakout rooms icon at the bottom of th screen.
The issue is when a host allows users to choose a breakout room to join. When this option is selected in Zoom then the rooms icon does not appear in fullscreen view in the browser. Also people see the incorrect message “the host has opened breakout rooms please wait to be assigned.” But the host wants to allow people to join their own breakout rooms. So the user is never assigned.
So to be clear:
The host assigning visitors to a zoom breakout room does work in browser – and we can see the breakout rooms icon in fullscreen mode.
But when the host checks the option to allow people to choose their own breakout room to join then this option is not working and we don’t see the breakout room icons in fullscreen mode via the browser.I hope this makes the issue clearer.
Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your quick response and such a great plugin! It would be awesome if you could craft us a a filter to fill the gap and we can wait a few weeks for TSF v4.0.
Have a great day!

In reply to: [Drip for Gravity Forms] Subscribers not being added to DripHey @kaisdavis (sorry I missed your question from a month ago!) and @steckinsights we did get this fixed.
It turned out to be super simple too. In our case it had to do with the ‘New Email Address’ being set when it should have been left as the default ‘Select a field’.
So we were testing our forms with emails that were already set up in Drip and our setting in Gravity forms was wrong – which meant that the subscriber details weren’t being updated.
Here is what Drip support said about it:
After changing this “New Email Address” option from
Email
to the defaultSelect a field
, the subscriber record has the fields updated correctly. So, an edit you should make to this form would be to not selectEmail
in the “New Email Address” dropdown, and leave the defaultSelect a field
set. Our developers said this is actually an issue with Gravity Forms and how they build the plugin, which is good to know!I hope this helps get your issue resolved.

You too!??
Thanks Pippin,
Your post on using Zapier to send automated follow-up emails to EDD customers was well timed ??
I’ve been digging into this and for anyone who’s interested it’s possible using Zapier to split the name field and send this to MailChimp. This is possible with Zapier’s recently released Formatter app.
This post walks you through how to set it up and if you just want to use first name to personalise your email marketing campaigns then it should do the trick in most cases.

This is a bit odd because we don’t have the Yoast Video SEO plugin enabled… In fact I deactivated the WP SEO plugin:

In reply to: Error saving media attachmentI had a similar issue when I migrated a wp site from one server to another. Everything seemed to work fine but I couldn’t upload files to the media library.
As has already been mentioned in this thread the issue is the file permissions and ownership settings of the uploads & wp-content directories on the server.
If you have ssh access to the server you should be able to sort this out. I didn’t have any luck deleting and recreating the uploads folder using ftp.
I’ve come across this issue before so decided to do a little more research. I’ve made some progress in changing file permissions (chmod) but I don’t have root access so I’m unable to change ownership (chown). But the issue has been solved by changing the uploads and wp-content directories to 775.
I found this rather handy little tutorial on chmod which is the unix command to change file permissions.
This page also explains how 777 and 775 are derived as I didn’t know what they meant either. Hope this clears the air a little for the other web designers out there wrestling with server issues.
