In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Unable to add documentsNot sure what you mean. I’m in WP clicking on the Memphis Docs link on the LH menu.
OK, this is weird. I logged out of WP and closed everything up (thought I was done for the day). Now I logged back in and I have no files showing in the Documents Library. The web page however is still showing the documents normally.
The saga continues.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Unable to add documentsI don’t use mDocs myself so I don’t know for sure if this is normal or not. After I open up a folder and add a new doc to that folder the screen brings me back to display the root ‘All Documents’. I believe before it used to stay in the sub-folder and display that list showing the new file that was just added.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Unable to add documentsOK, that works if the ‘Redirect is blank’ is ticked in settings. Looks good, I’ll run through it a few more times to be sure.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Unable to add documentsYou were right, it didn’t work. Do you want me to restore the original line 536 or leave the change?

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Unable to add documentsAny progress on this?

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Unable to add documentsOK, I zeroed in on this. Version 3.9.5 works, 3.9.6 doesn’t work so it’s something that changed in that time frame. We would have been running an older version of mDocs because the PHP on the server was out of date and we couldn’t update anything else. This bug has been hiding for awhile now I’d say.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Unable to add documentsOK, found the line, commented out, still get the error. Edited again, removed the line completely, same error. Put the line back the way it was. So this happened somewhere between 2.9 and 2.9.20. I can try to narrow that down a little more if it’s useful to you.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Unable to add documents3.9 works but 3.9.20 doesn’t. I will set you up as a user so you can poke around, I just need your email.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Unable to add documentsI already went back a couple more to 3.10 with the same results.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Unable to add documentsQuite a few plugins. https://cptnb.ca/plugins.png I suspected the Polylang plugin at first because the weird preview url has a reference to topfr (french) sidebar. I deactivated Polylang though with no difference in mDocs. I cannot completely uninstall Polylang to test because the entire website is bilingual and I fear that I would create a nightmare for myself. One other clue that I found that might help you is this tick box that has just recently showed up in settings: https://cptnb.ca/tickbox.png When the box is ticked I get the short version of the bad preview url and when unticked I get the long version with the sidebar reference (v 3.10.8)

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Unable to add documentsOK, under 3.10.6 it gets even weirder. Now when I attempt to upload the file the preview gives me a 404 error on this url: https://mysite.url/medicenter_sidebars/footer-topfr/&mdocs-cat=mdocs-cat-2. Why would it be pointing to a sidebar in my theme?
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Unable to add documentsYes, I can do that. Can you link me to an older version please.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Unable to add documentsThere is no docs-cat-2 folder and never has been as far as I know. All docs are stored in one folder /wp-content/uploads/mdocs which I have to assume mDocs put them there by default when we first installed the plugin years ago. I have no idea why the plugin would now be pointing to docs-cat-2 but maybe you can enlighten me?

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Unable to add documentsWe have been using mDocs for a long time with no problem. I recently had to update PHP in order to update my WordPress theme (Medicenter). After these updates I can no longer upload new or revised docs. I get a ‘error 404 Page not found’ error for the preview and the doc doesn’t upload. The ‘defective’ url points to https://mysite.domain/wp-admin/&mdocs-cat=mdocs-cat-2. Docs already in the system still appear normally on the site and can be previewed or downloaded.
So here’s what I’ve done so far. I exported my mdocs, uninstalled mdocs, wiped the mysql records as suggested above, reinstalled mdocs, and re-imported mdocs. Still does not work, exactly the same problem.
I’m at a loss. Any ideas?
