• After June 23, 2016 whenever I copies a blog post URL from my site and pasted it into Facebook to share it, the title appears with no spaces.

    I don’t see the wordpress update history in my dashboard, so I don’t know if this occurred immediately after the last update or not. I don’t believe I’ve added any new plugins.

    My website is https://www.lisalouisecooke.com

    You can see examples of the title error at our Facebook page:

    I use the Yoast plug in, and I’ve noticed that the SEO title in the “Snippet” section has a lot of percent signs. I retype the title as I want it to appear, but this doesn’t fix the problem.

    I have not found anywhere else online where someone describes this problem. I would be grateful for help in fixing it!
    Thanks

  • This is happening because, if we take one of your posts as an example, Yoast SEO is adding…

    <meta property="og:title" content="BrowseOnlyDatabasesatFamilySearchareEasytoUse" />

    It’s the same for the Twitter title. This is because it’s using your page title which is…

    <title>BrowseOnlyDatabasesatFamilySearchareEasytoUse </title>

    I believe Yoast SEO also allows you to specify the format of your titles, so not sure if your configuration for that is causing this to happen. At the very least it may be worth asking the question over on the plugin’s forum here…
