Hello and thanks for your reply.
First off, a suggestion: if plugin doesn’t allow to change (un)subscription links, perhaps you might consider not showing them in an editable box. It’s misleading for the user, who thinks (like me) it can be edited and then wonders why he can’t.
The reason why I wanted to change the links is related with the error itself. I’ll try to explain:
As said, when clicking the link in the subscription confirmation mail, I get the aforementioned error. The link’s URL is of the form https://freelander.es/whatever-else.
If, instead of simply clicking on it, I copy/paste the URL to my browser’s address bar and, before submitting, edit it so as to include the language subdomain (for instance https://en.freelander.es/whatever-else), then everything works fine.
Therefore, if I could modify the link’s URL structure in the settings (for including the language subdomain), everything would work fine. But the plugin doesn’t allow. As to steps to reproduce, I suppose you’d need a multilingual blog set up the way mine is: language by subdomain. WordPress 3.9. Then install your plugin and just try to subscribe to it “from outside”, as a reader.
In any case, I’ve finally opted for updating to WP 4.2, and now the plugin works fine. But the bug is still there, of course, for WP 3.9 users.

In reply to: [qTranslate X] qTranslate-X Main Menu shows a blank pageI am also experiencing this problem.
qtranslate-x 3.4.6.4
Wordpress 3.9.2
I have read the troubleshooting link provided right above, where by the way the first instruction for fixing this error is, funny enough, “fix the JS error”. Very helpful.
Anyway, I’m not getting any errors in my Javascript console. Zero.
I have also tried the second instruction: disabling all other plugins (offending and unoffending), but no game: regardless what, the settings page shows empty tabs.
I’ve also tried different browsers, ad-block and the like deactivated. No game.
I don’t have access to the server’s error logs.
I don’t know since when this is happening. It’s been working good for years, but it’s months since I don’t go into the settings page, so I can’t tell from which update this happens.
Any suggestions, please? Help appreciated.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [qTranslate X] Blank settingsHello. I am experiencing this same issue since the last updates (don’t know exactly which, because I normally don’t modify the settings over updates).
I do not have WooCommerce.
I do not get any errors in the JavaScript console.
Any clue? Any help?
Otherwise, how can I get a previous qtranslate-x version?
Thanks in advance.Update: the plugin does NOT let me change the subscribe / unsubscribe links. If once I get the opt-in confirmation email I copy–>paste–>modify–>submit, then it works. (That’s because my blog has two sub-domains, “en” and “es”, one for English and one for Spanish). When installing and activating the plugin, it omits the subdomain for the subscription/unsubscription links. But, as I say, I can’t change it. If I try to save the changes, they revert to default settings.
Any help?I’m having the same problem as here, but with my subscribe confirmation link. Whenever I click on the link (I haven’t touched the settings at all; they’re just the default ones), I get the “Oops.. We are getting some technical error. Please try again or contact admin” message. Which, by the way, is the messages supposed to be shown when issues with UNsubscribing, not when subscribing.
Any guess?

In reply to: [Dynamic Widgets] Latest version 1.5.10 conflicts with qtranslateThank you, Qurl! In fact I posted the other topic too, as I didn’t know which of the plugins had the issue. John gave me the solution with enabling “compatibility options”.

In reply to: [qTranslate X] 3.3 to be incompatible with dynamic-widgets?@johnclause
Wow! Compatibility functions did the trick. Thanks a lot! This way I don’t need to do all the tests. I’m not too computer savvy. However, if I can find some time, I’ll try to get some error messages and try the more permanent solution you suggest.

In reply to: "failed to import objeto" when importing a blogThank you for trying to help.
That’s a good workaround. However, I’d like to start with a new, “clean” database, because the myoldblog.org one was somewhat “dirty”. It’s quite old and contains links to a prior version of my blog that no longer exists. That’s why I’m trying to do everything from scratch, and the import the contents. Also, the old blog’s media library is huge because it contains six copies of each image file (at different resolutions) that were created by some plugin I no longer use. Now I don’t need those six versions of each media. I’d like to have just one.
