In reply to: [FeedWordPress] How to go back to previous version of feedwordpress ?Yes:
1: deleted the entire folder structure, but then installed it from within the WP Admin area.
2: Deleted folder via FTP again, downloaded jetpack.zip, and installed it, but again used WP admin to upload / imstall from the zip on my computer.
3: deleted again, unzipped pkg on my computer, then copied files via ftp. Now it seems to work.
Does not look like an accidental bad download to me, so others report it, I got it here, repeatedly (after FTP delete, re-install again):

In reply to: [FeedWordPress] Featured Image no longer showing up.@madriver, before it stopped working, were you on the leatest FWP release (32013.0504)? In my testing, this release killed FWP SIC’EM, so I stayed on the previous one, 2012.1218. Kind of a pain, have to be careful never to auto-update accidentally:-(
Richard,
Thanks, I did not know that. But there’s something I don’t undertand. I disabled auto-publishing, and am using the share buttons at the bottom of each post. Those buttons are also generated by JetPack, yet psoting this way finds the proper images… isn’t that strange?
Thx
Another it of info: the trouble started on March 19th. If you scroll down here:

https://www.facebook.com/CloudAve
you’ll see that until March 18th the proper images got picked up.Thanks,
ZoliHi Richard,
Thanks for your response. Here are a few examples:

https://www.enterpriseirregulars.com/60508/cloud-to-enterprise-resistance-is-futile/All the originals have featured images. The “salesforce cloud” logo that got picked up at Facebook does not come from within the post, but from a side widget the blogs run (“Sponsored posts” on the right side).
I’ve only noticed this behavior a few weeks ago, until then everything ran smoothly. And even now it’s not consistent, a few (unfortunately very few) posts show up with the correct image, and I can’t tell what is different in those posts … Pls. let me know if you need admin access to WP.
Thanks a lot,

In reply to: [FeedWordPress] compatibility with the FWP : SIC 'EmI have an update on the above bug report, which could be important: the error – i.e. images don’t get imported – appears to be related to Pending/Draft/ Published status:
– FWP triggered via cron job, posts got to Pending or Draft status: no images cached
– FWP triggered via cron job, posts get Pubslihed directly: all OK
– FWP manually triggered, posts into Pendingor Draft: all OKForum: Plugins
In reply to: [FeedWordPress] FeedWordPress and WYSIWYGAppears to be working, thanks for the fix!

In reply to: [FeedWordPress] Any way to add a "via" link back to original source? It does not need a “fix”, the Add Attribution for FeedWordPress plugin has been available for years… at least I think that’s the functionality you’re asking for.

In reply to: [FeedWordPress] compatibility with the FWP : SIC 'EmNot sure this is the right place, but I don’t think there is a separate FWP—SIC–Em thread, so here’s some feedback.
First of all: WOW! Finally, this plugin brings badly missing functionality to my setup, have tried just about all the hotlinked-image-cache plugins, they all had their faults. This one is the most flexible, and with the lower pixel limit / filetype filters, resizing it is amazingly powerful!
Now, what does not work:
– Nothing happens when FWP is triggered by a cron job, which is how my sites work. But if I then delete those posts and trigger a feed update manually, the plugin almost always works. What works, but (IMHO) strangely:
– Resizing. I thought the idea was downscaling, to filter out crazy huge images so I set it to 600,. it downscales large images nicely, but also blows up smaller ones, say a 300×400 becomes 600×800, which I don’t think makes much sense. I think the number in the rescaling field should be a max, not an absolute value.Possible little improvement:
– it would be nice to keep the original filename when possible, if used, just add a number to it.Thanks a lot!

In reply to: [FeedWordPress] FeedWordPress and WYSIWYGHi Charles,
First of all, I am a long time user, love FWP, could not live without it:-)
But I must say I am now quite shocked to see what I thought was a bug is actually a decision you’ve made .. perhaps my use case is very different from the majority (I don’t auto-publish, manually edit everything), but I think it is a dramatic choice, and a bad one. I can’t edit posts in a text-only environment.
Of course before reading this thread, I ahad no clue what the reason was, all I saw that visual editor disappeared after the WP 3.5 upgrade. It took a while to figure out it was caused by FWP. So now my solution is to downgrade back to the previous FWP release, which allows use of WP visual editor.
Now, to the core of the story: I’ve always (for years) had the “expose to formatting filters” setting on, can’t remember what the reason was, just that I had better results that way. Even then, some posts show up with line breaks stripped out – but that’s just 2-3 of my 50+ source feeds. Still, I can deal with those better than losing Visual Editor.
I’ll try your fix on a test site, but until then I’ll leave my productive FWP at the previous release.
Thanks a lot!

In reply to: [FeedWordPress] compatibility with the FWP : SIC 'EmBage, if the error came up while upgrading FWP to the latest release (as it did for me), then:
– delete the FWP+: SIC ‘Em plugin directory via FTP or any other method outside WP
– upgrade FWP
– reinstall FWP+: SIC ‘Em pluginAt least that worked for me.

However, I am seeing a new error on several feeds, only since the WP 3.2 upgrade, and both before and after your new release:

In reply to: [FeedWordPress] [Plugin: FeedWordPress] Repeat posts on every update2011.0602 is working, I no longer have those dupes in 5 blogs.
If you still see dupes, those are for post created in the few days since the WordPress 3.1.3 upgrades, since they already have the “bad guid”.
To get rid of all dupes you’ll need delete all instances of such posts (published, pending, draft, even empty the trash)then let FWP regenerate them. Where this is not practical, you’ll just have to wait out till those entries will be old enough to fall outside the range FWP picks up – but for new entries it works well.
Btw I warmly recommend the “FWP+: Limit posts by date” plugin.
