Negative. I did not change the subject, I just confirmed the issue (like the previous poster did) and provided additional information (date) to help the programmers to localize the cause of the problem.

Same here. The last successful scan/notification took place on May 14th, 2016. Obviously, the cron job doesn’t work anymore. A plugin update fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

thank you for your quick reply! The only “complaint” I have is that the German language localization file seems to be a little outdated. Would be nice to see the .pot catalog file to be distributed along with the other plugin files, so that translators volunteering to supply new translations or update existing ones with poedit won’t have to ask for any assistance…

Hi Evan,

yes, I’m referring to the WYSIJA (= “what you see is just awesome”) newsletter plugin which has been renamed to MailPoet (which is much more comprehensive). I use the free version in one project and the payed (premium) version in another one, however since the premium version adds an extension plugin in another folder and the issue occurs in the free version, I think it will be enough to test the free/basic version.

As soon as you activate MailPoet (which is a true gem and a masterpiece), WP Updates Notifier stops to notify the user about updates (you can see that the timestamp of the last check doesn’t change anymore). As I was suggesting in my first post, I think the cron job tasks of the plugins are getting into the way of each other…

Strange, my page works fine now with 3.8.1. installed (whereas the links didn’t vork at all yesterday with Slimstat 3.8 in the background).

Hm, I’m sure Camu can solve this new riddle as well. He is a magician… ??

I can’t verify that, every click on the links you provided opens one (and only one) new tab. The fix works for me. Are you shure that you have replaced the WP Slimstat plugin by the unoffical release 2.8.1 via FTP?

I’m using Chrome and IE in the office, but now I’m at home using Opera (12.16), and it is the same problem here. 3 browsers, 2 locations, 1 (severe) problem…

and click on any of the fat green links in it: you won’t get anywhere. As soon as I deactivate WP Slimstat and reload the page, everything works fine again…

P.S.: In my other WP installations, I’m reverting to the previous plugin version to ensure proper link behaviour.

Same here: I run 10 WordPress installations with WP Slimstat, and in all of them all external links don’t work anymore. They don’t even open in the same window/tab in the chrome browser or in IE!

Toggling the CDN option doesn’t change anything, so I have to disable WP Slimstat or revert to a previous release until a solution is found. This is serious, and it’s definitively a problem of the new WP Slimstat release since all previous versions worked well without interfering…
