This is the official solution: Use the site logo block to be able to open the (old) Customizer, there you can add the favicon, then delete the site logo block.

I don’t have a site logo. I have a site title, which is a word, namely, my name.

Which, I believe, is the theme default.

So, you recommend that I delete them manually in the database?

I have migrated a site and am now using a Oxygen Builder. Meaning that I have more freedom to manage data, but also more clutter that I see while managing that data. Your old post meta is such clutter.

Before you say that this is an issue with the builder: Nope, this is an issue with RankMath not cleaning up after itself.

May I chime in here?

I want to delete unused post meta by RankMath because it is cumbersome to always scroll though loads of lines when inserting new dynamic data.

So, please be so kind and let me know how I can achieve this.

I did read that post before posting here. And since the official answer was something like “this is not Woo core”, I specifically asked about this obviously Woo core issue.

Furthermore, I did try the idea that some other user suggested and that did not work.

So, would you please be so kind and give an official Woo core support answer to this fairly simple question?

Going back was the only solution that did work for me as well.

In the mean time Astra support has tried updating on my staging server and they have encountered the same problem:

Status is, this is escalated to their engineers.

Is already with your support. Your support mails do not have ticket IDs.

I have been waiting three days now for help, but all I am getting is: “Do a manual updated (via SFTP).”

Even that does not help.

All plugins and themes off (only TwentyTwenty on), even Astra theme and Astra plugins off, Astra still throws errors. That should not be possible but it shows how deep the problems are.
