Thank you kindly for your help. Is the way you describe it a regular process for duplicating themes, and would an expert be able to perform it well? In contrast plugins like UpdraftPlus can separate theme files with a click of a button right. Am I putting too much value on doing it by hand?

I work with a capable Admin who’s restored sites for me before. Your advise tells me there’ll be too many moving parts for me to handle even if the plugin is great. I’ll stick with my trusty Admin.

EWWW only does library media if I’m not mistaking, and AO ‘all frontend imagery’?

What I’m curious about is AO is comprehensive optimization system right, so does adding images to it have an overall/reinforcing effect on your website speed, or are website optimizition and image CDN just two completely different processes? (Probably explaining it incorrectly, but I hope you understand what I mean).

Or take opportunity to ask someone knowledgeable about Autoptimize ??

EWWW + its ‘CDN subsription’ focus only on images correct?  

So to optimize the entire website you’d still need Autoptimize. 

So what does the combo ‘Autoptimize + Shortpixel’ do, that the combo ‘EWWW + CDN’ doesn’t?

One more thing for my understanding; we apply our styling and preferences ‘retroactively’ in-website correct? Inserting our HTML directly into the exported CSV file (and then import) isn’t a consideration right?
