In reply to: [Lemmony] Blog page not available after installationWe re-installed Lemmony on https://asaplr.com/ (and we have a clean basic test-setup, no heavy plugins), but no Blog Page, and this time none of the menu navigation links to the pages, it simply links to the generic #, although the pages are available. We can fix navigation off course but I’m worried the installation isuue might come around at some point.
Could you perhaps have a look at our dash? I’ve contacted your agency on Facebook about a project (Bert), perhaps we can take it from there.

In reply to: [Lemmony] Blog page not available after installationActually I found good use for the blog posts and archive pages, without the actual blog page itself. But would you know of any negative effects this might have on search indexing/ranking; the ‘not having a central blog page’?
FYI: I’m contacting your agency for a possible full grid version of? Lemmony (I’m Bert).

In reply to: cms restrictionCan I keep this one open?
I was really enthusiastic when I started checking boxes to include and exclude options from the Author Roles, great UI. But the most important I need “Author Role cannot create New Tags or Categories (just select existing ones)” isn’t covered :-(!
I don’t know if I should abandon Members for an alternative, as it covers 99% just not the 1 most important …
Or should find somebody to code this extra bit for me?
Thanks again

In reply to: single taxonomy for all blog itemsGreat confirmation actually what I’m looking for.
In a weeks time I’ll have enough content in place to get final requirements, but this is the configuration we need, I thank you so much for taking time.I’d love to revisit the subject and show you the definitive setup.
Till then thanks again and keep up your great work!Forum: Hacks
In reply to: single taxonomy for all blog itemsThank you for your patience, I really want to choose the right architecture from the get-go.
So, post-types have certain ‘placeholders’ for common post-types like ‘products’, from whatever commerce plugin.
To get that feed, I need to search the source plugin for code to embed in “product_cat” and “product_tag” of the taxonomy.
Am I wrong in assuming then, the taxonomy can pull in any feed from any plugin? It’s like an open api that harmonizes output.

In reply to: single taxonomy for all blog itemsI suppose a woocommerce product cannot be a ‘post type’?

In reply to: single taxonomy for all blog itemsI see lots of ways by hand, to link to relevant jobs or products from inside posts. It just strikes me as strange to silo your content apart from wp posts.
Thanks a lot, I will keep revisiting this subject till hopefully something robust comes my way.

In reply to: single taxonomy for all blog itemsFrom a conversion point of view, wouldn’t that be the first thing a publishing blog would need? Cross-reference different types of content website wide? Like ‘Related’ by hand.

In reply to: single taxonomy for all blog itemsThanks, I have this plugin installed https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/.
So if I understand correctly, custom posts enable grouping and displaying groups of items, in wordpress and other plugins?
