    Hi, the padlock sign for the SSL and security is showing as unlocked on my shine a light recruitment site. I have spoken with my host and he ensured me that it is nothing on his side and that the SSL TLS configuration is all fine at that end. He suggested that the issue is with how I built my site, maybe specifically the content that is by served by the domain but not hosted with the domain? They believe some of my website content could be going through third party servers that aren’t secure, apparently known as mixed content? Any help is greatly appreciated as there’s no way I can launch my company with the site the way it is not being secure! thank you

    Further info: Host ‘thinks’ its due to content (specifically images) I linking to rather than directly hosting, or Perhaps the online form is communicating with a third part server and not code (PHP) running on my hosting hive server.

    They are right.

    When I tested your site with https://www.whynopadlock.com/ (you can test it too) I got a mixed content error. This file https://yoursite.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/toddlers-playing-3661391.jpg is loaded using http instead of https.

    Since that is loaded in an Elementor block, I recommend asking at https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/elementor/ so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with the best way to fix the mixed content error.

    This might help, but I haven’t tested.

    @aleocap – @vladytimy is right. The mere fact that you have listed your link as https://shinealight instead of https://shinealight is a red flag. Unless your hosting is setup to force anyone that uses https:// over to https:// your viewers will get the unlocked padlock. It may be a case of looking at your html making sure all links, links to graphics and page links start with https:// as opposed to https://. The “s” at the end of http is what signifies the link is secure if you indeed do have an SSL.
