When I access admin panel get the message "Not Acceptable!"

  • Hi everything.
    When I access admin panel(mysite.com/wp-admin) get the message “Not Acceptable!
    An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security”. But I can visit site.
    And I try below code in .htaccess

    # BEGIN WordPress

<ifModule mod_security.c>
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
</ifModule>

# END WordPress

    But it doesn’t do anything.
    I ask my host, but they say this issue is not about them.

    Anyone know what to do about something like this?

  • Do you have any security plugins installed? If so, try disabling them and see if the problem goes away.

    Is this a new install or did this problem just occur?

    I would be inclined to think it is something the host did, but you need to rule out any plugins first before going back to them.

    If this happened all of the sudden without you doing any updates on your end, then I would really suspect the host.

    Thank you answer. I have not any security plugin. My site approximately year work. ?s interesting, when I try login other computer succeeds.
    P.S I clear cache, flush DNS.

    Mod_Security is generally a host/server issue – have you asked your hosting company.

    WPyogi, thank you for answer. Yes I asked my host, but they say this issue dont about hosting. Such a situation, if I try login wp-admin from other computer I succeeds. Each computer connected to the same Internet.
    P.S I clear cache, flush DNS.

    WPyogi, I don’t know. I try different 7 computer. 4 them succeeds, 3 don’t. I don’t open url site.com/wp-admin
    Get this message:

    Not Acceptable!

    P.P.S I have 3 site. This issue have eaach site. Sites WP version is 4.1.1

    Okay, so are these computers all on the same network? Who is the host?

    2 computer on other network, and this computer wp-admin open. Host is Hostgator

    We check and found your website violate mod security on server.
    The present, we add your domain to white list of mod security.
    Me: access OK ??
