It looks like the plugin is not fully PHP8 compatible.

Is there a chance for an update?

Yep, I’ve built a beautiful top block that includes javascript that works fine – as long as I’m logged in. But if I go to the same page when logged out, the block doesn’t show anymore. Am I missing something obvious?

Has this plugin been tested and does it support PHP 8?

I’m using Image Type “Featured Image” to display those on the front page. There is an option to add a link to the image, but I want the link to always go to the blog post that the image belongs to. So that instead of just clicking the headline for that post, the user can click the image as well, and then come to the single page of that post.

Yes I know, the plugin is not being updated with new features!

At least I can confirm it works well with WordPress 5.8 and Genesis 3.3.4.

I am using Blox on different sites but now I am having an issue when editing the content of a Blox when trying to edit Raw Content or Editor Content in full screen:
the gray overlay appears on top and the editor is partially under the WP menu left-sidebar.

When I select a custom image and upload an image, it selects the image but then does not display in the editor screen (as if no image was selected). If I publish the page then no image is displayed.

This has happened with two totally different WP installs.

If I create another new page then the custom image function begins to work but if it gets stuck with the same problem then it just stays stuck.

Any ideas?

Only Js error we have is onmozfullscreenchange is deprecated.

While setting up Blox Lite on my local server site, I noticed something with the wording on the WP Admin / Blox Lite / Settings [page] / General [tab].

• Global Block settings

• Enable Global Blocks: Globally enable local content blocks.

<p>The same wording appears for the Local Content Blocks section so I wanted to make sure I understood the wording for the Global Content Blocks correctly.</p>

<p>If it was meant to be global instead of local, would you mind editing it so that it is accurate for accessibility reasons?

I set in the setting: Enable local block: Products

After in ADD NEW > LOCATION > SHOW ON SELECTED> Archive page> Products Categories, Products Tags, Products Shipping class

But I do not display anywhere the image

Using Blox Lite to add custom headers with the Magazine Pro theme. Enjoying the plugin so far. A couple issues:

-I’m positioning custom headers on selected pages using the genesis_header hook. However, the global header with the logo (set in the customizer) still appears above it, here: https://adventurebrevard.com/header-test/

-I need to have the global header with the logo on the homepage and other non-custom pages. Such as here: https://adventurebrevard.com/ In addition, I’m using GeoDirectory, which uses the sitewide header for the pages it creates.

–What’s the best way to accommodate both types of headers?

I’m not a coder, unfortunately. But I can copy and paste with directions. ??

Please let me know if what I want to do is possible.

Firstly, thank you for a really great plugin!

I’ve previously successfully created content blocks and they are still all working fine. However I am now unable to create a new content block. When I click “Publish” I get a the following message:
“Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again.”

When I click on the “Please try again” link I am taken to a new/empty “Add New Global Block” screen. If I then go to view All Global Content Blocks” I can see the block name listed and is Published. However columns “Content”, “Position” and “Location” are containing text “Error”.

I can’t pinpoint a specific event that may have triggered this as there was a long gap since I last created a block. Some major changes was site URL change to www, moving hosting company (cpanel copy and restore), additional plugins and I had also been hacked.

From google search I see that this could be any one of a number of issues. But I’m only having this issue with Blox. Would you be able to assist in trying to determine what Blox is not happy about? What information or logs do you need?

What I have tried so far is:
-Disable cache plugin
-Regenerate new salt keys
-Try using different browser with cache completely cleared.

I have a question about selecting blocks to be displayed on the correct pages.
It concerns a bilingual website (multilanguage plugin: polylang), I created a block for both languages.
Under “Location” I’m now selecting the indiv. language pages where the blocks have to be displayed, this works fine except for the Homepage (Frontpage), on this page both blocks are displayed for both languages.
I tried selecting and unselecting the “Frontpage” check from ‘Block location’, however unchecking this option hides the blocks.
Can you help me maybe?

Is there a way to lesson the white space between the header image an the page title for a specific page? Is there a blox setting for this or some simple CSS to make this happen?

I’m trying to add a Polylang (multilanguage plugin) shortcode (php) to blox so the language-switcher will be displayed.
First I checked the option: Check to enable PHP code.

And then I pasted this Polylang code in the Raw content field:

Me again. Still very grateful for the plugin, this is very useful.

Our blog is in English and French, and I’m trying to translate the blocks to French. So I created a translation through the “Language” option on the right, copy/pasted the raw content (initially in English) and translated it to French.

But the problem is that in French, both the English and French (translated) blocks appear.

What am I missing?

I was able to add a local content block easily to a blog post.

Image Size: Default (Original Image Size)
Set as Background: checked
Position: Custom
Position on Page: genesis_title
Location: Archive Pages
Archive Pages: Product Tags, Product Categories, Shipping Classes, Categories (all)

When I view the /shop page, I see the following CSS:

I need to give all aligned blocks (i.e. a few displayed next to each other) the same height; this would be the height of the tallest block. Now I could do this with flex in CSS, as an example, but then I also need to add a parent div for all aligned blocks.

What is the best way to give aligned blocks the same height?

I would like to use my website with secure connection (https) but the only image which has https:// tag is the background what the Blox use.

If I use with “Set As Background” it’s not works (the background image added with https://) but If I uncheck this box everything works fine.

I try to remove the image and after add again but it’s not helps.

I already configure in the WordPress settings the https (in both places: wordpress address, site address).

Do you have any suggestions which help me to solve this problem?

Hi,

I am using blox for displaying full width featured static images on my pages. I am having issues with the image displaying on mobile – the image does not scale (keeps the 400px height). Looking at the CSS the height is set to 400px; however adjusting the css to ‘auto’ for height, removes the image. This is probably an easy solution, still a newbie and appreciate the help.

Edit: Resolved, used the @media to apply the changes to mobile.

You helped me get this going on another site for events. Now I’ve got Geo Directory installed and it shows up great on the locations, but not on the main location search page. https://rmcc.bwwtest.com/locations/

I tried the archives but that doesn’t seem to work here. Any suggestions?
