Hi, I’m trying to implement Directorist, and have spreadsheet of several thousand companies to import. I can see the field to bring in Images (just general images to appear in the profile) but struggling to see how to import the all important Featured Images.

These are key because (my understanding) is that these are the images which appear all across the site, in search results etc.
What am I doing wrong?

2. A follow-up question: Why are company profiles duplicating when I re-upload them? I would have expected a NEW / UPDATE process, where you can check if it needs to update an existing profile first before creating new.

In the filter box, is there a way for users to filter listings by verified/claimed status? (With claim listing plugin active)

Hi there, please can you let us know why the sort by filter no longer works since you’ve updated the plugin 2 days ago? The layout has also changed with an option to only use left or right and popup. The popup is nice but the filter options open and close and don’t let you select any! There seem to be glitches with the new update. Please can you look into this urgently? Thank you. I’ve already done a conflict test and can’t seem to find a cause.

Can we have an icon that opens a pop up for the filter options on mobile? Icon can be placed just by the side of “Change Order”

Proof of concept

• Add a Custom Field to the Add Listing Form in Directory Builder. Save.
• Create new listing for a specific Category and the Custom Field will be visible in edit listing and on the Live page.
• Edit the Custom field so it is assigned to the above Category, Save.
• Edit listing, it will not be visible, nor on the Live page. Unassign it and it reappears.

Repeatable by toggling on and off.

Also, the custom URL field requires https://, whereas the built in Web field doesn’t

When I use the shortcode: [directorist_author_profile] on my site. On trying to publish, it gives me this error when creating the page. Error: “Error loading block: The response is not a valid JSON response.” It does not allow me to publish. I am using the StartFitter Theme and do not have any other member directory plugins downloaded

How do you remove this side-bar Filter – especially when there are no filter options selected?

Can it be removed by using a short-code or is there anyway to remove/hide the Side-Bar Filter of the search feature?

After upgrade to version 8, search does not work well.
I.e., I have a place in Chicago, and when I start typing Chicago, after the second letter, Ch, the drop down shows Chicago IL, USA.
So, you select from drop down Chicago IL, USA and nothing happens, no results.
BUT, If you continue typing the whole word “Chicago” you have (by ajax) the correct results, without to select from the drop down list.

Everything was working five before the update, but search function does not work well now.

Please check it or let us know where to find the Version 7.xxx to roll back.

I’ve had to roll back to the last V7xx & disable autoupdate as V8 is unusable

Location Listings View as Grid puts a Black shadow over a big chunk of the page (100% width) making it unusable – the shadow is clickable to the last location listed. Change to List view and the problem disappears. I’ve rolled back until this is fixed as I need a useable website. Missing a closing tag somewhere in grid view?

Also

Individual listings – “Popular” and “the love heart” now show as coloured discs.

Both of these seem fundamental and I would have thought they would have been tested.

First off, thank you for a (mostly) improved version of Directorist.

Unfortunately your Pro Support continues to let me down as I am yet to get feedback on my email dated 25 Oct 24. Hopefully the community can help:

1. Not all your Pro plugins update after updating to v 8 (yes I have reconnected my account)
2. Themes cannot be updated without downloading them and manually updating the site
3. There is no documentation on the Directorist AddonsKit for Elementor plugin – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/addonskit-for-elementor/
4. The featured listing are now indicated by a colour outline. This shows that the listing boxes are not all the same height. It would be great if there was an option to set them all to the same height
5. The featured badge has been removed. Can this be returned please as a highlighted listing is just that, with no indication that the listing is highlighted
6. The option to set how many related listings has been removed?
7. I do not see where to set the speed of the related listing slider, or what constitutes a related listing; Tags AND Categories, or, Tags OR Categories as before
8. On the Map, the Listing Category Icon does not display correctly
9. On the Map, the settings on what to display on the map popup are not been transferred to the map popup
10. An additional plugin was provided to enhance the Add Listing fields. Is there a reason these were not added to v8 core?

I’ve added Css to customise my webpage. When updated to version 8, many things changed such as the search bar, so I have to edit it once again from the beginning. Is there a way not to change or make tha changes quicker? Because many aspects of my webpage are now unusable

I’ve looked on your documentation and see that you have a code to disable expiry for listings, but it’s not working when I apply it to our child theme. Please can you provide a way to disable expiry? I’m surprised this is not a simple option in your settings area? Will you consider adding this in the near future please? Thanks.

Hello. I want to load “script id=”jquery-core-js-extra” etc. that are loaded inline in Directorist externally.

Hi Team. So frustrating to have this bug I’m experiencing, you can easily replicate this yourself and it has been brought up in a previous post, but got ignored it looks like:

When you go to Directory builder> Search Form > Basic, by default there is “Search Bar”, “Location/Address” and “Category”, the location and category are just BLANK entries. When these are deleted, they can’t be found again! when they are removed, the category and Location fields should go over to the right hand side able to be dragged and dropped back in.

This was brought up on another thread, and responded to as “a site issue”, – its just not true, its a plugin issue.

To replicate:

1. Go to directory builder
2. Go to Search Form
3. Open up ‘Basic’
4. Toggle/Expand the two ‘blank’ fields (which are location and category)
5. Delete them
6. You’ll notice location and category are now gone, and cannot be added back.

Please fix this bug, or advise how i can do some sort of reset to get them back.. perhaps you can give me a database entry to get it back. It’s a pretty big design flaw. i mean what’s the point of having a directory if you can’t search by location – I think its better to focus on the basics than worry about a million add on plugins?

When I visit someones listing, and click the favorite button, it turns red.
Then when I visit my dashboard, there are no favorite listings

When I go back to the persons listing, the Fav button is not Red anymore

Why would this not be sticking so I can see it in my favourites????

Hello, I’m importing a CSV file into Directorist and I would like to know to import multiple values into a checkbox field. For example, a listing has “New York” and “Los Angeles” for the “City” field in directorist.

How I can change logo on dRealEstate theme?

Simple problem, but… ??

Currently when I go to a loisting, and I click on someones website URL, it opens in the same tab.
Is there a way to allow it to open in a new tab? So my site stays opne on the current tab

For the registration email I embeded a link to a page on the website.
Saved it and tested it. Yes the link is in the email sent.

However if I go back to the email template, that link and its code has Gone.

But on testing the regstration again. the email sent still has the link in it

So something is stripping the code out making us think it has gone.
With no way to see all the information in that email template

Obviously there is a bug stripping the code in the view, but leaving in in there somewhere.

There are no Directorist Blocks available with the latest update. Error messages are:

“Your site doesn’t include support for the “directorist/search-listing” block. You can leave it as-is or remove it.”
