Hello
I am using Woothemes canvas and was showing captions over a slider and font weight 300. It wasn’t showing the # symbol which my client was using in some post titles.
Changing the font weight to normal they display ok. I thought / hoped that using your plugin would have resolved my problem but it doesn’t seem to have done.
Can I tell it to include the # character or is it something I have done wrong? I have selected all font subsets and all weights to try.
Thanks very much.
Joel

]]>Hello,
I have the latest Storefront template installed and the plugin is not recognising that I have a Woo Themes template.
I have an API from Google.
The error in Google Webfonts for Woo Framework Options reads:
Framework fonts built-in No framework fonts found. You must use a theme from WooThemes for this plugin in work.
Any help/advice with this would be appreciated.
Thanks for your time,

The font I am looking to use right now is Source Serif Pro.
There were a few others I wanted to experiment with that didn’t show up in the dropdown. I apologize. I can’t recall which ones now.

]]>I’m getting an API error after upgrading to OS X 10.10 Yosemite/Server 4.0: Cannot access the Google Webfonts API. Check your API key. The fallback font list is being used instead. Error fetching Google font: SSLRead() return error -9806
This seems to be related to the error I had with WordPress.com’s Jetpack authentication. That was resolved by adding define( 'JETPACK_CLIENT__HTTPS', 'NEVER' );
to the wp-config.php file.
Similarly, Jetpack’s Related Posts module was failing until I changed a https:// reference to https:// in the code.
That seems to be what’s happening with Google Webfonts for Woo Framework. Line 179 of your google-webfonts-for-woo-framework calls for an https connection (https://www.googleapis.com/webfonts/v1/webfonts?key=). I’m pretty sure this is the bit that’s throwing the error for me.
When I edit that bit of your code, changing the https:// reference to https://, Google complains, throwing an error.
I’m also pretty sure this is limited to OS X 10.10.x Yosemite/Server 4.x and is Apple’s bug not yours.
When I open a VPN session to the server, open a browser and open https://www.googleapis.com/webfonts/v1/webfonts?key=xxx [where xxx is my API key] it returns current font information, as expected.
Any idea what could be causing this?

]]>Hi Jason,
Thanks much for the great plugin!
I just created our Webfonts API key and have entered the key into the plugin’s “Google Developer API Key” field. After saving changes I get this error:
“Cannot access Google Webfonts. Check your API key. Using fallback font list instead.”
Any ideas?
In our project, we have “Web Fonts Developer API” turned on…
Thanks in advance!

]]>Hi Jason.
Thank you for creating this plugin. It is an automatic install in all my wootheme sites. Is there a way to control which weights to download? I am using Source Sans Pro (which has a lot of styles) and it is pulling down more weights than I am using. I am trying to optimize page load time.
Thank you.

]]>Thought I’d post this here for help and in case any other noob has the problem.
Never used HGoogle developer tools before – logged in to google – went to Google APIs Console. Created new project. See services list. Click on Webfonts Api option at bottom of list to enable it. Pop up appears asking me to accept T&Cs. Check box and click accept.
It won’t accept it – no error message the Accept T&Cs box just pops up again and again. Tried accepting it 20 times – tried different browser – nothing works.
Must be missing something obvious – pls advise if you can.
Thanks.

]]>I installed this plugin and entered in an API key and saved the settings which seemed to work. Now in my theme options for Canvas I’m seeing hundreds of new fonts. The problem I’m having is that I am looking to use Open Sans with the Light option. I can see this option the plugin preview settings page but I can’t actually select it in the Canvas theme options. It’s not available within the dropdown.
Help would be appreciated.

]]>The plugin currently does only download the Latin script character set, and thus does not render some Hungarian characters appearing only in the Latin extended script(such as ? and ?). It would be a big favor to include an option to download other scripts as well, when provided by Google Webfonts (including Cyrillic, Greek, Vietnamese).

]]>Hi. I have installed the plugin and have the API key working great, but the body font I want to use is called Cabin and since installing the plugin, it no longer renders correctly. When first installing the plugin, those fonts were highlighted in the lists and showed them differently. WooTheme was using 400, 700 and your list is showing regular, bold instead of the numbers. I am using all the latest: Canvas V5.30, Framework 5.5.5, WordPress 3.6. If I change the font the body copy changes, but I really need to get Cabin working. Any ideas? Thanks.

]]>Hi guys,
Just a note — I had to resave my settings to get cached fonts back after an update of the plugin from 1.2.0 to 1.2.1. Bit of a mystery why it wasn’t working…
but after reading the github comments I eventually figured it out.
Just in case anyone else has the same problem. Thanks for this plugin!

]]>I’m running the latest woo framework on Mystile and 3.6 beta.
I’ve added the plugin and it worked to import all the new Google fonts into the typography section. BUT these new fonts are not in the shortcode section whatever it’s called – on a post, click the woo icon > typography > Custom Typography. You then get to a pop-up where you insert your text and choose the font, but none of the new fonts are there (and they aren’t alphabetical which is painful)
My test font is Niccone – I can now select it in the typography section of Woo options, but it’s not there for custom typography using a shortcode.
Cheers,
Hamish

]]>Hey, thanks for creating this plugin for woo themes. I’m using the Simplicity theme on the woo framework, and I’d love to activate this plugin.
I signed up for the google web fonts API key through google and got the key, but now I don’t know where exactly I’m supposed to insert it in the settings for this plugin. Could you please clarify exactly where I’m supposed to insert the key in the settings code?
I tried replacing every instance of google_api_key in the settings code with my actual key, but that didn’t work. I’m assuming that’s not correct.
