Hi,
I just wanted to check – does this plug-in need to stay installed on the website permanently for the redirections to continue working properly?
]]>There are several I18N issues for this plugin, and I cannot find this plugin’s GitHub repository, so I am archiving modified codes and leaving a download link for your reference.
]]>Hello, I had a problem with “Too many redirects” with my wordpress site sitting behind a reverse-proxy so I checked the .htaccess
file contents:
# BEGIN HTTPS Redirection Plugin
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} !^443$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]
</IfModule>
# END HTTPS Redirection Plugin
I was surprised to see that this file 1. Does not support reverse-proxies 2. Uses the port as a proxy to check the protocol.
Please note that the %{HTTPS}
variable checks for the actual use of the HTTPS protocol and %{HTTP:X-Forwarded-Proto}
must be checked to support reverse-proxies.
With the correct changes, the .htaccess
file looks like this
# BEGIN HTTPS Redirection Plugin
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP:X-Forwarded-Proto} !https
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]
</IfModule>
# END HTTPS Redirection Plugin

Since a secure connection to https://www.sokee.com.hk cannot be established. But I have applied Easy HTTPS Redirection (SSL). When I try to log in the wordpress backstage (www.sokee.com.hk/wp-admin), my website redirect http to https. But the a secure connection to https://www.sokee.com.hk cannot be established. So now i cannot login the wordpress backstage.
Would you help me stop deactivate Easy HTTPS Redirection (SSL)?
Installed and activated the plugin. Home page is accessible (yet not formatted correctly). WP dashboard url gives a site not found error (dreamhost).
“.htaccess” file reads:
# BEGIN WordPress
# The directives (lines) between “BEGIN WordPress” and “END WordPress” are
# dynamically generated, and should only be modified via WordPress filters.
# Any changes to the directives between these markers will be overwritten.
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule .* – [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization}]
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>
# END WordPress
How do I fix this error?
]]>When will this be compatible with WordPress 5.7?
]]>Hi I made a mistake and accidentally activated the HTTPS redirection and my site does not have a valid SSL certificate yet.
Can you tell me the steps involved to completely deactivate this plugin.
So far I have tried –
1) I could not access WP Admin – so I removed the plugin folder for ‘Easy HTTPS’ via FTP. I refreshed browser, removed cookies but still getting error – too many redirects.
2) I read the pinned tweet about removing redirection rule in the htaccess file but this code is not there?
Any help is much much appreicated!
]]>Greetings, after I setup your plugin, the #sl redirections is working well, but when I tried to edit one of my posts, it takes me some times like 2 minutes for the post editor to connect to database before loading, I have fixing it but is not working, please I kibdly needs help.
Thanks…
]]>I disabled Easy Https because it broke all non-home pages. I see that someone else posted this issue here a while back though there was no conclusion.
I posted whynopadlock because I didnt want to post the site since I had to deactivate the plugin. I’ve used easyhttps many times over the years and it’s been great so not sure whats happening here.
Since there’s only one image not loading correctly, maybe I should just change its link in the code and not use easyhttps in this case?
Thank you for any suggestions.
I have a website that is already SSL secured. I want my site stay SSL Secured by default but I want to make some post/pages non-SSL (https://). I want to have a tick mark option to make the page/post as non-SSL.
Can this plugin will give me this option? or can you bring this option in the next update?
Thanks

Greetings,
We know this is an off topic question here but we couldn’t find other way to reach you. We are new to plugins publishing on www.ads-software.com. Would you mind giving some tips on promoting our plugin or how it was possible for you to reach sudden hike in this plugin downloads on Nov 22.
Your thoughts would help us a lot..
Thanks,

]]>Hello,
I use Easy HTTPS (SSL) Redirection.
Suddenly I have an error 500 in the Backend of my site. I read log file: “PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get_queried_object() on a non-object in /plugins/https-redirection/https-redirection.php on line 164”.
What can I do to solve problem?
Hi,
How can I add my homepage to the list of pages that redirect? The field on the Settings page to apply HTTPS redirect to a few pages (rather than the entire site) requires an extension to the homepage url.
I’ve added HTTPS redirects to a few other pages successfully.
Thanks,
Pete

]]>I installed and activated HTTPS redirect and all pages on the site seem to work fine, they are directed to HTTPS pages, but when I go to make a new page or post, give it a name and try to save as a draft, I get a pink bar across the screen saying “updating failed” The page name reverts to auto draft. Also, I note that in the general settings, the WordPress address (URL) is still HTTP and so is the site address (URL) other sites that I have done the same thing with now show HTTPS in those lines. I am running WordPress 5.03 and using the Divi theme.

]]>Hi there,
I’m having some trouble, I am sure it is user error on my end but I just can’t figure what I did wrong.
After activating your plugin, the homepage works perfectly. However, ANY other page on the site will not redirect form http to https (here is an example: [ redundant link removed ] (note that it won’t redirect)
Can you please advise?
Thank you

When this plugin was activated, my page (accessed using HTTPS) was not showing up in Google searches. I investigated with Google Search Console. This reported the visitor view of the page as correct but the Googlebot could only see a redirect page, which was doing a 301 redirect of the page to itself. This seems to have been generated by the .htaccess edited by the plugin. For this reason Google was refusing to index the page.
I removed the edits to .htaccess and disabled the plugin. Now the Googlebot sees the page correctly and has indexed it – but I have no HTTPS redirection.
The problem seems to be that the plugin is redirecting not just the HTTP version of the page but also the HTTPS version, which causes an incorrect recursive redirect. That is no doubt why some people here have reported recursive redirect errors on pages, although for some reason users didn’t see that problem on my page.
Is there any way I can work round this issue? Do I need to find another HTTPS redirection plugin?
Did this happen only to me, or have other people noticed that this plugin destroys their SEO efforts, in a way which Yoast SEO doesn’t see?

Is it possible for this plugin to allow both http and https usage?
Example if user is on http then replace all with http else use https?

]]>Hi,
I have one site on theme Eduma and using LearnPress. Suddenly scrolling on mobile devices stopped working on LearnPress courses. There was also fatal problems with responsive design. I deactivated the plugins one by one, and when I removed Easy HTTPS Redirection, the site started working again.
Any ideas what happened? Until last night this worked fine. I do will need some https-plugin for this site…
]]>In the new environment I’m moving a WordPress site using this plugin to, HTTPS is terminated by an internal load balancing proxy instead of terminated by Apache.
I have WordPress working fine because I have Apache configured with SetEnvIf x-forwarded-proto https HTTPS=on
to ensure that PHP/WordPress correctly see $_SERVER['HTTPS'] == 'on'
when visiting HTTPS.
However because the .htaccess code this plugin inserts uses RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} !^443$
which means it still gives the infinite loop.
Could the plugin be updated to have an option to allow RewriteCond %{ENV:HTTPS} !^on$ [NC]
to be used instead.
Or at least, could we have an option to enable the plugin and get the resource url changing behaviour, but disable the .htaccess updating behaviour so we can manually make our own https redirect.

]]>I’m aware that this has been raised before, but I’m not clear if there is a fix available. I want to use this plugin, which seems great to me. I have it running a test site at the moment. The issue is that I want to apply redirection on the entire site (which is pretty big) and will need to enable ‘Force resources to use HTTPS URL’, because there are lots of links in there. But I don’t want to force the use on external URLs, which on some pages we link to, and which are essential. Is there a way to exclude external URLs from being changed to https?
]]>I have the same problem on two different Managed WordPress sites and both are on 4.9.7. One address is shown above and the other is harrystebbing.com
If I enter the address with or without www the address reverts to thedomain.com and shows as not secure. Similarly if I precede the address with https://
Only if I enter the address with https:// does it show as secure. This applies to using Firefox, Chrome and Edge.
On the plugin settings page all three boxes are checked and for the whole site.
Can you assist me please?
