I was surprised that the ‘regular’ WordPress URL is still available, while the page is setup to be found as a custom domain.

So BOTH the urls are available:
https://landingpages.com/domeinnaam-pagina/customdomain-nl/
https://www.customdomain-nl/

Is it normal, that both url’s are ‘requestable?
I’m also troubled that these pages are probably indexable. And in fact i found some of the urls in Google….

It could be that i’ve created these pages, and waited a while before adding the custom domain. But still its strange that AFTER adding the custom domainname, the primair WordPress URL is also stil requestable/indexable.

Could you provide some advice or solution for this issue?

Hi there, On our main domain it has an SSL (https://) installed.

Does the domain I am trying to use for a single page need the same via the Registrar?

It seems to cause a 500 error on the browser

Hi there

I have a domain page set up but it is only accessible from the non-www url. When I include WWW the domain will redirect to the main site.

I added www. in front of the url within the settings but this didnt help.

My server is running apache and DirectAdmin.

Hope someone can help me out with this one

I have installed your plugin on a single WordPress installation, and successfully mapped a parked domain to a new page – simple and easy, thank you! Importantly, the main domain uses an SSL – is it possible to push the mapped domain to use the main domain’s SSL?

Hi, i read all the topics, and tried dozens of combinations, but i cant seem to figure this out. This is my situation:
– Plesk hosting
– WordPress Multisite
– WordPress MU Domain Mapping
– WP Multi-Network
– Pronamic Domain Mapping
– sunrise code addon is set

And everything is working AS LONG AS
– subsite.network.com (running as a subdomain)
– pronamicdomainpage.com (domain page)
Works fine

BUT IF
– networkdomainname.com (subsite.network.com running as a mapped domain)
– pronamicdomainpage.com (domain page)
It doesn’t work

The issues occured during testing:
– it redirects me to homepage of the main network site
– the domainpage shows another domainpage (i have several for demo and testing purposes)

i’ve tried somuch that i lost overview. For the moment i deactivated the MU network plugin, without result. I also started doubting wether DNSSEC could be an issue…

Time for some support i think (hope), cause i invested loads of time for the testing part. I’m setting up a multisite network and i want it to be perfect this time ??

Can someone please help me out or set up a instruction for this configuration? The link in the other post doesn’t work any more, and on the site of pronamic isn’t really much technical info.

I saw rather up-to-date support answers, so i hope we can figure this out.

I’m trying to set this up, but I don’t have “Parked domains” on my cPanel. Under Domains, I only have Addon domains, Subdomains, Aliases and Redirects (plus Site publisher and Simple zone editor).
Would any of those work?

i am using the Kleo theme and on my site the domains are mapped to posts instead of pages, is that as designed, how can i change that to map to pages, i don′t want to habe a date stamp on my mapped pages..

or is it because of the theme?

Hi there

I am hosting the site on my lunarpages server (with cpanel) but the domain is registered at go daddy. I am not clear on how to do the steps outside the WP plugin. I have created the domain page as you instruct but dealing with the host loses me no matter how closely I read. I am sorry for such a newbie question but just working on a personal site and no support beyond you good people. Please help with basic steps in this case.

Hi, I’m trying to set an specific page for a custom domain that I already set.
I just add as an alias domain for the primary.

I duplicated the content of this page (https://sersat.grupodatco.com/transmission-media/gestion-de-tv-en-la-nube/) for a Domain Name Page under microcanal.tv but still not working and is getting the content of the home page. I think it’s related with the alias but it’s all already set as you describe.

Do you have any idea how it’s working the plugin?

hy,
i am planning a website which contains several products, each of them having different packages. there exist domains for each product, which also have a pretty good google rank so far, so i want to keep using them.
i’d like to manage the products/packages as custom post types and map the domains to it.
there will also be some standard pages, which should be accessible through each domain, but with the canonical tag set to the primary domain. these should not link to the primary domain, as the navigation tree for the product would get lost…

you can imagine the content tree like:

myprimarydomain.com
– /about-us
– /history
– /blog
– /blog/2015-12-10-my-blog-title
– /…
myproduct01.com
– /package-low-budget
– /package-standard
– /package-premium

Hello,

I am using your Pronamic Domain Mapping plugin and I believe that I have set up correctly based on your instructions, but I can’t get it to work.

I have WP MS 4.3.1, Pronamic Domain Mapping 1.2, Apache, PHP 5.5, Cpanel, 1 parent and 3 child sites on my network.

Each child site has a separate domain name. The plugin controls display properly in each child site admin section. I have parked / created aliases fro each of the domain names in Cpanel controls.

All that happens is that the child sites redirect to the parent sites.

Type WP Multisite Sites New Domain Name
Parent https://main-online.com/ main.com
Child Site https://main-online.com/child01/ child01.com
Child Site https://main-online.com/child02/ child02.com

1. Is what I am trying to do possible with your plugin? I am not mapping to a page but to a child site on the network.

2. Can you help me directly by connecting and reviewing my setup? Do you have a support service?

Pronamic Page Domain is redirecting to the main site

Environment: WP 4.3.1, Pronamic Domain Mapping v1.2, on a networked multi-site wordpress setup.

Say company.com is the site in the wp network, and product.com is a feature page I want to create.

Creating that page, I get https://company.com/?p=342 when I request the shortlink.

A GET on https://company.com/?p=342 returns HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found.
A GET on https://product.com returns HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently with Location: https://product.com – which results in a redirect loop.

Adding https://product.com as an alias domain in the domain mapping for the site (primary or not) doesn’t change this behaviour.

Hello,

When using https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-https/
the wordpress site has ssl support on the main domain.

But the mapped domains also have an Https connection.
but not a valid certificate. so showing an ssl error.

Can this be fixed?

Can you make it so that this is not available to low level users in the admin (i.e. subscribers) please? Currently, even though they cannot edit the pages, they can see them listed and there is a link in the sidebar.

I have just installed Pronamic Domain Mapping and set up a domain. It works fine, but when I go to Google Webmaster Tools and Fetch as Google it sees it as my home page. Will this go away after around 24 hours or do I need to do something to resolve the problem?

I’m running a stand-alone wordpress site under CPanel. Can I have a single domain entry work both ways (with or without the www). Right now, it works exactly as I type it in to the ‘Domain Mapping’ section. If I browse to the domain the other way, it simply goes to the wordpress home page.

Hi,

Onze domeinnaam https://www.buroaandelijn.nl zou de site van https://www.burovoordeboeg.nl moeten tonen… Dus jullie plugin gebruikt… Uitermate slimme oplossing.

Wel gedaan:
– http:\\www.buroaandelijn.nl als url gebruikt in de plugin
– buroaandelijn.nl als alias toegevoegd aan burovoordeboeg.nl
– in het dns bij buroaandelijn.nl een a record naar burovoordeboeg.nl

Wat we niet gedaan hebben is de sunrise aangepast, want die hebben we volgens mij niet nodig.

Afijn, buroaandelijn.nl geeft gewoon onze site, maar niet de specifieke landingspagina. Wat doen we nog fout?

Domain redirecting to subsite url instead of target page

I installed the plugin, added the code right at the bottom of sunrise (just above the ?>, added the domain as non-primary in network admin domain names with the correct site-ID, then in the subsite admin I created a new domain name page, entered the domain, published and checked… What happens is that it will redirect to the correct (extra) domain and then redirects to the subsite primary domain (blog home).

Any ideas?

I use WordPress 3.4.2. with multisite option enabled and https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wordpress-mu-domain-mapping/ Doncha last version plugin installed.

I have only one default network (the main site, named: ‘multisite.com’) and no more network installed or created.

I have anothers child sites, some times domain-mapped (with doncha plugin) to another domains.

I use Cpanel with Park Domain to add virtual alias ‘newdomain.com’ for all mapped domains.

Now in a child site, that is mapped to ‘childsite.com’ i enable Pronamic plugin, create a new ‘domain mapping page’ and asign it to ‘newdomain.com’ (thats is also parked in cpanel)

But when i search ‘newdomain.com’ i only reach
https://mainmultisite.com/wp-signup.php?new=newdomain.com
(it say that only when ‘newdomain.com’ is parked)

So:
Is Pronaminc compatible with doncha plugin?
Could i run Pronamic for a page in a child site that is also previosly mapped to another domain?
Or only can i enable Pronamic in the main site, and then assign pages from this main site to another domains?
