]]>I am running WordPress 5.0.3 with Video Sidebar Widget 6.0 and get the following pop-up when trying to edit a page or post:

tinymce editor button is unchecked as is video sidebar widget and random video widget
post meta video widget is checked

]]>hmm strange problem i am having i have suddenly noticed the random video widget has stopped showing on pages, when i investigated it appears the widget is no longer listed in my widgets section, the meta and single video widgets are still there but no random video widget can be found. i installed the plugin twice now to see if it was an error and still no random video widget is listed? Have you removed it in a update?

As the title says, Youtube videos display OK in edit mode. Once I publish the page, the video is simply a black square, and I get the “unable to display video” error message if I press the play button.

I can’t solve one question: Per your notes I am allowed to put HTML links in video caption. I tried this using standard HTML code <a href="">Caption</a> but this won’t work = break things.
What code/shortcode (?) would I need to use please?

I have used Video Sidebar Widget and Im using Vimeo to play a couple of my videos. I want to know to do I keep the volume at mute when my website page loads us and if people want to hear the music they can manually increase the volume of the vimeo player.
SO i want the website page to load with the player at mute .

]]>We have a Vimeo video in a Video Sidebar widget on our blog home page. We had it set to autoplay on page load but now want to set it not to play until the user clicks play. I have set the “Auto Play” dropdown to “No” and saved the widget but it still plays when the page is loaded.
How can I fix this without deleting the sidebar widget and starting over?

what text would I need to my functions support array code to see the ‘Post Meta Video Settings’ option appear for portfolio pages?
to be clear. When creating a portfolio post, a post or a page, there are screen options that allow you to show screen option fields. In the case of your plugin you have a setting that allows a post meta setting where the video shown on the widget is specific to a setting made in the post, but it appears when the box for ‘Post Meta Video Widget Settings’ has been ticked in the screen options. as seen here https://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ .
However, portfolio pages are not able to host these attributes, for some reason the person that created portfolios limited the screen options. So in order for you to make a plugin value appear on the post/portfolio edit page you have to add a term or word in the functions.php ‘support=>array line to make it appear such as explained in this thread. For example here is someone teaching another person the term needed to add to make custom fields appear in the back end of portfolio by adding the term custom-fields to this line https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/custom-fields-in-portfolio-post-type-where-are-they?replies=7
I was wondering what term to make the back end property of your plug in appear so I can have the videos customized to each individual video.

Too bad that I have a problem, I hope to resolve it.
If I place the widget in the bottom of the sidebar, there are no problems.
But if I put it in the midst of other widgets, all that lies beneath it does disappear from the sidebar and slip to the foot of the page.
Already happened?

Recently on one of my sites – which is a mirror of a few sites seems to be playing the audio on load of the website. Even though the video is not playing. The video is also set to not autoplay either – cant seem to find problem.

The videos does not show if the WordPress site is on https. I suppose it’s because http is hard coded in helper-functions.php
E.g: Line 39
$value = “https://www.youtube.com/v/$v_id2?autoplay=$v_autoplay2&loop=0&rel=0”;
https will work on http, but not the other way around.

First of all, I’m a Drupal dev and thus new to WordPress, so forgive me if I don’t provide you with all the right information.
I noticed that if I entered text with ” in the caption of the Video Sidebar Widget that it saves correct, but when I refresh it cuts off at the ” and starts the rest of the text under the textbox.
If you’re stupid – like me – you’ll end up looking in all the wrong places because you’ve saved it that way without noticing it and will therefor break your page.
It’s a small one, but can create some headsmashing moments.
