Help, I’ve been working on a video sharing platform and I an having issues increasing the text field for video titles. They are cut off with out leaving the full title leaving “…” mid way through the title. I have had user complaints about the issue. Is there custom ccs that will help display the full title below thumbnails?

I have an album on vimeo and i would like that the player shows the last video in autoplay mode when someone enter in my website.
Is that possible with this plugin, autoplay the video without click the play button, and how can i do this?
I have multiple video gallery’s on diffrent pages in my site and the show_theater parameter set to false. So when I click on a video it opens a new tab and redirects to the corresponding vimeo page.
Like this:

But what I actually want is to play the video’s in my site on a dedicated theater page
So is it possible to place the theater on one page and let the gallery’s (Located on diffrent pages) use this theater? So it redirects to the correct page on my site and starts playing the selected video.
I have added the short code (with echo function) into the theme. It works for [youtube]videoid[/youtube], but when trying to make it display a playlist it just gives a black video image and when you click play it provides a youtube error.

I noticed there was another thread for this same issue, but looks like it was over a year old and already marked resolved. I’m wondering if a recent update may have somehow caused this plugin to break?
I actually use this plugin on a bunch of websites, and so far none of them seem to be behaving the same way. Thinking it may have been specific to the website, I deactivated all plugins I was using and removed external scripts as well but it is still giving me the same problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve been upgrading a site today to HTTPS which uses your WP Theater plugin. It throws a bunch of Mixed Content errors for Vimeo.
I had a look in your code, and the issue is in class-shortcodes.php in the Add YouTubePreset (starting line 97) and Add Vimeo Preset (starting line 129). Many of the urls in the presets are https://, even though both services support https:// for these.
Changing all these to https resolves this.

1. I have got PHP 5.3 with cURL enabled.
2. I visited Goggle Developers and registered my personal API-key just as it is written in you instruction.
3. I deleted the referer and made the window empty just as you usually reccommend in this case.
And after going through all these steps I have got nothing instead of a beautiful video-gallery. Can you help me?

I really love this plugin, I use it as an alternative to Tubepress since Tubepress stopped working when Youtube introduced Api 3.
I like the whole Theater feel it’s perfect for my Video Galleries.
I read in a support thread from 2014 that you guys were thinking of adding pagination, so more than 25 videos could be added to a gallery?
Is that still on the table, I have about 200 videos in my playlists and showing only 25 from them is actually the only minor point about this plugin as it redirects people to Youtube when they want to watch more. Ofcourse this is a disadvantage because that means people would be leaving my website then, and I’d like to keep them on the page to watch as many videos as they want.
So I was just wondering if that was still on the menu or in plan perhaps for a future update?

I am using the playlist shortcode and three column css that you provided. The first video shows in the theater as an image/link. When I click the image, the video player appears.

]]>Hi I have a strange issue with embedding playlists. The first video (the large thumbnail in the player area at the top) opens in YouTube.com when I click play. All other items in the playlist open on the website in the player.
If I click on the first thumbnail under the player the video plays properly.
Any ideas?
]]>Our theme seems to be in conflict with the way the WP Theater plugin works. When a user clicks on a video to play, it pops up rather than playing in the theater window. Is there anyway to remove the theater window so there isn’t a big white space above the video thumbnails or do you have a suggestion on how to resolve the popup issue? ]]>The setup format I am using for a new site is the following:
The theme is SnapTube [https://cohhe.com/demo/snaptube/] which natively uses WordPress Video Gallery [https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/contus-video-gallery/] to load YouTube videos individually into its own custom post type, and then use a widget for Visual Composer from WPBakery, to display them.
Most video auto-fetch plugins seem to import video content into the WordPress database directly. However, it looks like Contus uses its own custom database.
The VisualComposer widget can ‘see’ the WordPress Video Gallery database, where other video downloaders I have tried can see the custom post type but the video downloaders I have tried so far cannot post to the database.
I would like to cut out WordPress Video Gallery altogether and simply have Visual Composer widget display the videos from your WordPress downloads.
Do you think that would be possible?

I’d like to remove “more uploads by…” link, to remove the title of the thumbnails and finally to reduce the number of the video to upload and show! I’ve tried to follow the instructions on https://redshiftstudio.com/wp-theater/, but I was not able to resolve the problem! Meanwhile waiting for your answer, congrats again for the work you do!

I’ve got a problem with the “user uploads” code ([youtube user]USERNAME[/youtube])! Even if I insert the User id instead of the username, as I read in another post here, it does not work! Nothing is loaded! The plugin seems to work only with 1 video per time ([youtube]VIDEOID[/youtube]).
Have you got any suggests? Please help me as soon as you can, I really need to fix this problem! Thanks in advance for your helpfulness!

“So for v3, user and playlist modes are identical except for the titles.”
But whats the best way with v3 to use the plugin to show all my videos?

I’ve just installed and setup this plugin for the YouTube v3 API and am seeing some strange behavior. I initially set it up with Firefox 37 on Windows and the gallery seems to display inconsistently. Using Chrome or IE 11 results in it not being displayed. On Android (5.1) viewing the same page with Firefox displays the gallery correctly, similarly the current versions of Opera Mobile and Dolphin work correctly but Chrome for Android doesn’t display the gallery.
Using the Phony plugin for Firefox on Android it appears that setting the user agent to any of the desktop browsers or chrome results in the gallery not being displayed. Using the default, iPhone or iPad works.

I’m hoping there’s a way to edit/prevent the letterboxing of the placeholder image that’s appearing when I use the playlist version of the shortcode.
I can’t post a link, since I’m developing the site in my localhost sandbox, I’ve been digging around in Chrome’s inspect element and I’m seeing
<img src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/HeMf6G-DDnk/hqdefault.jpg" width="640" height="360"> and when I hover over that element there’s a pop-up with a picture and the descriptor: 768 x 432 pixels (Natural 480 x 360).
The letterboxing is fairly pronounced when the page is accessed and then becomes less so when one hovers over the wp-theatre-bigscreen section. Is there any way to style the class to crop out the letterboxing?
