Images missing after import

Hi – after using wp-clone, many images are now missing. Interesting that some got imported fine but not others.

I’ve looked extensively on the internet to understand and resolve to no effect. I’ve even deleted and re-uploaded images and the same ones refuse to show properly. If I click on the image I can see it fine but it’s blank in the media folder and shows as broken on the actual page.

Things I’ve tried:

1. Deleting images from the folder and re-uploading
2. Checking the permalinks – changing and saving, then changing back to page name and saving.
3. Re-importing the whole site from scratch
4. Clearing the cache on the website
5. Clearing the cache on my computer

Any ideas most warmly welcomed!
