Most pretty links stopped working

I use Pretty link to … shorten links on my sites for freebies, of course, but also to help with adding a ? tag within emails to add a tag/segment the links clicked.

A couple of weeks ago, members started commenting that the downloads would not work: the links would open another browser page and that page would close, with no download. I have not found any common denominator in the browser used or the OS used. Most people reported the links not working, while a handful were able to.

Even older links that worked fine, won’t trigger a download anymore, from what people report (although some, including me, can download without issue).

I thought it might be where the files were hosted, so I tried on my server, on AmazonS3 and on Google Drive. But it didn’t change anything.

In order to test, I created 6 links: three for long links and three with shortened links, and I posted them on my forum asking members to test them. (the first 3 posters were testing different links, posted on Dec 1st).

I am using version 3.2.1, which was updated on October 15th, yet, I was only notified on Nov 15th of the download issues.

What would you suggest? Is there a way to revert to a previous version, even if only to test the plugin version?
