i am having this same error. have API and Secret put in correctly. app getting HTTP error when used.

I was actually able to resolve it by re-entering the Facebook IP. Try that. Hopefully it will resolve your issue…Also make sure you do not have conflicting plugins by turning on and off.

I’m having the same issue and posted a new thread before I found this one. My hosting company said (but I don’t know what to do):

From the error message the plugin is outputting, I would suspect that is a problem with the plugin itself, with the configuration.

I had the same problem.
verify in your facebook app settings:
1° The domain is identified (for me jcoleron.fr without https://)
2° Your url is the physical url like https://jcoleron.fr/wp/ in my case but not https://www.jcoleron.fr
