• Hello,

    I had a whole wordpress up and running.
    I thought it would be cool to experiment with the https function so I decided to try this plugin. I downloaded it and activated it and enabled these 2 settings:
    * Force SSL Administration
    * HTTPS Front Page

    I saved and reloaded the page (both https:// and https://) and I got these errors:

    Chrome & FF: the page just times-out while it’s loading and it sais the server takes too long to send an answer.

    IE:
    The website cannot display the page
    HTTP 500
    Most likely causes:
    ?The website is under maintenance.
    ?The website has a programming error.

    So, basicly I just f*cked my website. Great. Now I’m looking for a way to roll it back. I added the
    define(‘WPHTTPS_RESET’, true);
    to my wp-config.php file but my pages still don’t load.

    I there ANY way to manually delete the plugin and undo its changes or to roll my wordpress back to a state that I can actually access it? It’s been a while since I’ve made a backup of it… I know that’s not very smart of me but I thought as long as it’s not really active (I’m the only one using it for the moment) it wouldn’t have any problems… Too bad I made the problem myself now. I could really really really use some help with this.

    Thanks in advance.

    Sorry for my bad English, it’s not my native language and I’m having a panic attack right now because of this.

  • I just had the same thing happen to me. I just launch our e-commerce site two weeks ago and now I am completely down.

    A fix would be great if you get one.

    I wanted to give an update. I deleted the plugin and the tables manually. I restored my website using WordPress complete backup. I changed my urls in general first and then reinstalled the plugin. I installed it and it worked great. I think my problem was how I initially installed the plugin. It almost gave me a heart-attack. This is not my first challenge with this plugin but the developer, Mike has always been good at getting solutions fast. I hope this helps.

    I just pushed out version 3.0 which may or may not fix the issues you were having. Please try updating and let me know if you need any help.

    Sorry for the late response. I have not had time to support the plugin for a while now. Since I just pushed out 3.0, I’ll be keeping an eye on the support forums to fix any bugs that arise.

    Thanks,
    Mike
