Did you purchase wildcard subdomain SSL?

    If not, that’s why.

No, I don’t think so. I have a dedicated SSL Cert (I’m guessing it only works with my main domain?)

I have the ability to purchase from my web host a SSL Wildcard Certificate. Will that cover subdomains? I don’t think I need SSL/HTTPS for my subdomains though. Can I make my subdomains be https:// instead of https://?

I’m not 100% sure, check with your host on that one.

As for the https bit … where did you define it in WP? In the wp-config.php? I tend to just use https for admin only.

I host with WestHost and used the one-click install of wordpress. I installed the https/ssl one.

Maybe I can just re-install wordpress using the http one and re-upload mySQL data base to the new http install?

I’d check with the host… some SSL only covers the main domain, not the subdomains.

Ok I’ll check with them. That’s probably it, thanks!
