• I just turned ON the Sitemaps feature and testing it out. When I click to view the sitemap to verify the entries in the linked sitemap xml files, I am constantly getting logged out of WordPress. It happens after a few minutes or clicking a link (https://) from the sitemap (not sure what is the exact trigger).

I get the “Session Expired” popup and must login again for no reason. I do not have SSL forced admin turned on but I always access the WordPress admin over HTTPS.

Has anyone seen this issue and have any suggestions on whether it is a plugin conflict, config issue, or bug with Yoast SEO Sitemaps (or other) feature? Please help – thanks!

UPDATE: I do not know if it is the sitemap feature specifically but now I’m seeing the “Session Expired” re-login popup after previewing a new post that is not yet published. My “Edit” post page is using HTTPS but when I click on the “Preview” button, the post preview opens without SSL encryption.

Perhaps there is something loading as part of the SEO Toolbar that causes WordPress to logout since there is a mismatch of HTTP and HTTPS. Does that make any sense?

Thanks for any feedback and advice you can share!
