Show password in Add User not working

    When adding new users, the “Show Password” button stopped working. When the button is clicked, nothing appears to happen. I cannot create a new user because the WordPress does not allow a blank password. I have tried multiple browsers, browsers in private mode and browsers with addon turned off. Nothing worked. The Javascript console displays the following error:
    “Uncaught SyntaxError: missing ) after argument list” in https://{host}/wordpress/wp-admin/load-scripts.php?c=0&load%5B%5D=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,utils,zxcvbn-async,jquery-ui-core,jquery-ui-widget,jquery-ui-position,jquery-ui-tooltip&ver=4.8.3
