SSL Support?
-
When is SSL support going to be available? I am going to have to move off of this platform.

This is pretty frustrating. It’s amazing to me that they can’t add a simple SSL cert to their domain. So easy.
It is frustrating, but I just got off the phone with Diverse Solutions and found out why there has been such a delay. Apparently, they were in the process of migrating to a new server after the sale of Diverse Solutions by Zillow to Market Leader last September, and not much was being done with the dsIDXpress plugin during that process. The server migration has been completed today. SSL support is now at the top of their list of “things to do,” and the ETA is “within the next month or two.”
I just about got it there using Cloudflare with these 3 plugins
- cloudflare.3.3.1
- cloudflare-flexible-ssl.1.2.2
- ssl-insecure-content-fixer.2.4.0
It’s this one item that is preventing a fully Secure SSL website using Cloudflare’s Flexible Encryption service.

It’s really %$%#^#$ me off
I don’t blame you at all. It seems like SSL support has been forever coming. It’s been a month now, and no news on the Diverse Solutions’ blog.
Agreed this is really frustrating, particularly as it should be a fairly easy fix – all the addresses that go to their api also work using https, they just need to fix the code, either removing the ‘http:’ or changing it to ‘https’.
Currently in code:
https://api-idx.diversesolutions.com/combo-js?config=dsidxpress-pro&ver=2.4.1
Same link could be changed to this (and still works)
https://api-idx.diversesolutions.com/combo-js?config=dsidxpress-pro&ver=2.4.1
@lindzconnell When can we expect this to be adjusted?
C’mon!?!? Would someone from the ”dsIDXpress IDX Plugin” support team PLEASE let us know what the hold up is…
To my knowledge (As I’ve done with many a website); all that needs to me done is to change all your ”https://” prefix’s to ”//” — it really is that simple.
If this is NOT the case in your situation’ can you PLEASE inform the community what the problem (Hold up) is.
In case your team has not been keeping up with the new updates planned for many Browsers… Visitors will begin seeing a ”Warning” that these non-SSL sites are not safe! So, it is imperative that all plugins modify their code to keep this from happening.
I’m already getting Warnings from google about my sites that are not SSL.
So, PLEASE be kind enough to keep your community/clients/subscribers up to date as to the progress of modifying the dsIDXpress IDX Plugin code and its readiness for SSL (https://)

Is there any sort of update on this? We’ve recently migrated all of our clients to use SSL, and have basically had to do a manual redirect to regular HTTP for just these IDX pages. It’s a pretty frustrating and needless workaround for something that should be a really, really easy update for the plugin.
Well, this is rich. I just received an email this morning from Diverse Solutions: “Effective October 1, 2017, we’ll be adding a $10 Data Services Fee to your monthly statement.”
I understand the costs from third-party providers going up but we should not be expected to pay more money until this VERY BASIC ISSUE is fixed! This is affecting SEO and visitor confidence, and SSL is no longer optional!
Your Diverse Solutions IDX product for WordPress is now protected with SSL certificates! In non-technical terms, this means your consumers’ data is now more secure when they enter information on any Diverse Solutions IDX product on your website.
NOTE: This update only applies to Diverse Solutions IDX products on your website. You may see a security warning due to other content on your website not protected by SSL certificates.
Please download the new version of our plugin and let our Support Team know if you have any questions.
