Is having thedomain.com, just the .com after the word/domain, in a cell enough to trigger the Auto URL Conversion extension into creating a clickable link? Or does does it have to have https:// before the word/domain in order to recognize it as a url that should be converted to a link?
If it does and we do not list the http(s) part, will it always create the https (secure) version of the link since most sites should be using an SSL by now?

    Thank you!

I’m wondering if I can save space by leaving the https:// out of the cell altogether.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble. Also sorry for the delayed reply, as I was on holidays, I could not answer earlier.

Indeed, the Extension does need the protocol (https://, https://, ftp://, or mailto:) before the domain/email, in order to recognize domains and links.

To save that space here, your best change is to manually add the link as HTML code, like

    <a href="https://example.com/">example.com</a>
