Using Google Maps

    Hi,

    I’ve looked through the documentation and FAQs and I see where to change the OSM/Google Tile Server URL (default is https://{s}.tile.openstreetmap.org/{z}/{x}/{y}.png) but I have no idea of what value to use for a Google Map.

    Based on the setting name it would seem Google Maps are supported, and tbh would be my preference if possible. Can you share the proper URL string to use for a Google map instead of an OSM version?

    Hi Larry,

    I should probably change that in the settings screen. While it technically works, it is against Google’s terms & conditions for Maps and they may block your users from accessing the map tiles at any time. I wouldn’t recommend it.

    If you had tried to search for something like ‘google maps tile server url’, surely you would have found what you are looking for,

    I just tried with https://mt1.google.com/vt/lyrs=m@110&hl=pl&x={x}&y={y}&z={z} and that seems to work.
