• Hi all ??
i’m new on Wpress and i cant solve this problem:
I’ve installed in an Intranet wordpress on a server running xampplite win32-1.6.8 and it works great ??
but when i try to insert in an article a link on a local machine for a folder or a file (\\LOCAL-PC\ for example) worpress change the url in this format https://\\LOCAL-PC\
I can upload the file that i want to show directly via wordpress but i think its a waste of time and space if this stuff its already existing on a Pc on the Lan and easy to reach..

Its possible to do this? in wich way?
    regards

    Andrea

  • Andrea, did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same problem…

you can use links like: \\server_name\folder\subfolder – IE will recognize and open it correctly but FF crashes on it completely.
