Once I modified the bucket policy, I now get an error when I test ‘S3 Upload & CloudFront distribution’, it says Error: Distribution for Origin “xxx…xxx.s3.amazonaws.com” not found. So, I assume that means updates and changes will no longer but uploaded?
I had to modify the bucket policy to allow CloudFront access, once I did that, I can now see my web page in unsecure mode (https://), Not sure why https is not working since I assigned an AMAZON SSL certificate to the CloudFront distribution. I am not forcing http to https until I am sure that is working. Also, I verified that the content is coming from cdn.zypath.com or the CloudFront distribution using the inspect web page…
It appears the only way I can maintain access to at least the backend end of my site is to set the ‘A’ record to my Elastic IP Address and then assign an alternate domain name (in this case cdn.zypath.com) to my CloudFront Distribution and add the CNAME where cdn.zypath.com points to my CloudFront Distribution Domain name which is xxx…xxx.cloudfront.net. But all I get is the menu and no images….
Hi Marko,
Sorry for the long delay but my site crashed due to corruption in the ‘wp-options’ file. My backup was also corrupted so it took a while get everything back by hand. I have installed the new plugin and I can generate the S3 bucket with the CloudFront Distribution without a hitch but… my question is this, once I see the bucket and distribution are up my tasks are:
1.) Manually upload my content to the CDN
2.) Change my DNS ‘A’ record to match the alias of the CloudFront distribution.
3.) Once this is done the Test S3 upload & Cloudfront Distribution test button shows test has failed and I get a 403 error “The request could not be satified” when I try to access my site????
What am I missing hear?
I have an AWS load Balancer for directing http traffic to https, could that be causing the issue? When I enable a CDN to use AWS CloudFront with S3 do I need to make changes to my configuration on the load balancer.
What tool are you using to see these errors so I can dig deeper…
The IAM user permissions polices are set to “AmazonS3FullAccess” and “CloudFrontFullAccess” is there some other policy that must be set when using an S3 bucket and CloudFront with the CDN??
I just checked it it is up.
I turned it off, go ahead and check and then please let me know when you are done so I can reenable blocking.
Sorry about that…
The website is [ address put in link field ], they are reviewing my previous post since I tried to include a screen shot…

Okay no errors and I uploaded attachments, includes files, theme files, and custom files but site just shows the menu structure with NO images. When I check the Amazon AWS CloudFront console and I look at the distribution metrics I see data uploaded but I have 100% 4xx errors
“Error rate (as a percentage of total requests)”. In the S3 bucket I can see all of the objects, the images, content, etc. There is a disconnect somewhere, it is as if it is looking for content in the wrong place?I created the plugin directly on the AWS dashboard. I just tried creating it through the plugin and that seems to be working, it is waiting for deployment when I run the test… I will let you know.

In reply to: [Appointment] How to turn on Blog page?Hi,
Okay getting closer. I did what you suggested and it sort of worked. The front page now works correctly and the blog page works but there are three issues with the Blog page. One, the dates are not showing on the left side as in the Live Demo. No matter whether I set Full Text or Summary, the Full Text is always shown. The author is not shown and the fourth issue, the Title bar does not show the menu path ie Home/Resources/Blog.
Thanks for your help
