I get it, it’s tough, and your various responses to this type of complaint serves to illustrate how tough it can be from your perspective. I’m just fed up with the sheer amount of abuse the notification system gets. I’ve had the misfortune of signing into client dashboards where well over half of my viewport is infested with ads and notifications. I build my sites with as few plugins as possible and they often still suffer from notifications where notifications shouldn’t be.

One of the main reasons I started switching clients to your plugin wasn’t even the features. It was to get away from how much Yoast likes to skirt the line of what’s acceptable and what isn’t in their plugin. Not that your plugin suffers from needing features, just saying.

I don’t know. The whole thing sucks. I strongly dislike marketing notifications. I also dislike that you need to use them because a lack of other options is available.

Having access to only one feed per page defeats the purposes I need the plugin for, so I’ve moved on to using Flow Flow instead for the time being. This seems like a rather big issue, hopefully the developers are able to work it out!

I must apologize, I left the company responsible for this plugin and work for a larger firm now that doesn’t leave me with a lot of extra time to continue support for this.

I have no idea if they (the original developer) have any intent to continue it, but hopefully they’ll be able to pop in at some point and let you all know!

Amazing; if there wasn’t enough reason to use Stellar before (which there was), that just sealed the deal. Thank you, I tested it and everything is working great.

The home page will only display three featured listings at a time, randomly selected each time the page is loaded. At the moment that number has been hardcoded but I could make it customizable via filter for a future release.

If there’s a need to have that many categories on the directory home page (remember these are hierarchical, so you can have sub-categories), then you could potentially alter the template and CSS to have it broken up into columns. Will this be built in? Maybe, maybe not, it’s hard to say; I would like to point the plugin in the direction of being a framework of tools, with minimal built in display. That way it will work out of the box for most people, and could be easily modified for others.

I completely overlooked that when I QC’d the listing page prior to this last release. I’ll look into it and make sure it’s updated in the next release. Thanks for spotting that!

I didn’t ask before, but is there any reason this couldn’t be done with an “All Listings” category that you added every entry to? Was there a particular feature/functionality you were looking for that using a regular category wouldn’t suffice?

Could you give me a list of plugins activated alongside the directory? I’ve tried all of those permutations and they all passed on my end. Now I’m curious as to where the conflict is occurring and how.

It looks like you may have swapped out the plugin for another; completely understand given the inability to respond in a timely manner, but if you want to give it another go just let me know and I’ll see what I can do!

PS, there’s been an update, but of course I can’t guarantee it will fix the issue you were having.

I believe both of you have mentioned this being cleared up in other threads, marking this as resolved unless I hear otherwise!

Not at present no, but that’s something we might be able to accomplish in the future. I’d love to spend some time focused on building a better search for this, and if I can I will definitely consider that a priority feature.

You’re using the search form generated by the plugin and not the built in WordPress search form, correct?

What does the URL look like when you perform a search? Copy and paste it here if you could.

Just for clarity, did you try it without either https:// or https:// (just the url), and this is on 0.84-beta?

It should accept that with the https://, I’m just curious.
