As I mentioned in my original message, I DID NOT use https:// or https://.
There WAS a typo that I fixed but it still does NOT work.
HOW do I “reset” the reCAPTCHA plugin so that I can start over?
Clicking on it will ONLY toggle between Enable and Disable. There is NO Edit option!

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Email sent from form successfully but not receivedMarcos, Thanks for you time. If I have to download something else to get this form working, I’ll just download another forms app. Thanks anyway.

In reply to: [Sydney] Regarding Sydney can I disable blog options?I can’t thank you enough for taking the time for a step by step video! I’ve followed the instructions using the first image and I was able to create a “post” (which is new for me because I’ve only used “pages” in the past since my site is not intended as a blog).
Thanks to YOU, I was able to adapt the information you gave me to create a “page” and link the first image in my table to that! It’s a shame that there’s apparently no choice in the default display which was all effortless but not what I wanted but at least NOW I finally know HOW to override that display.
Thanks SO VERY MUCH for the education!

In reply to: [Sydney] Regarding Sydney can I disable blog options?I’ve discovered that if I click on the image in the front page, it comes up in some kind of blog type page with the image small an pushed to the right…. but if I click on the image on THAT page, the image comes up again as full size. So I just need to find a way to skip that second page and just display the full size. Do you have any ideas on how that might be accomplished?
Thank you

In reply to: [Sydney] Regarding Sydney can I disable blog options?Wow!! Quick response! THANK YOU!
I replaced the lines that you suggested but there is no change.
You can check for yourself.
I thought I had uploaded to the Media Library using full size but I will go back and verify that. May there was a setting somewhere that overrode what I was attempting to do.
Sincerely appreciate your help with this.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Sydney] Regarding Sydney can I disable blog options? Thanks very much for your assistance! I did not realize I even had widgets in the sidebar (so that was educational). After removing each of those, I checked again and the image size did not grow to full size, as I had hoped but the sidebar still seems to be there (at my image is still shifted to the left to make room for the blank sidebar area). I then followed your instructions for the additional CSS but the page looks the same.
In Appearance > Customize > Blog Options I found a setting in the Layout area “Full width(no sidebar) and checked that but still no change. The page that is intended to show images at full size still has posting date and an area for comments etc which I do NOT need or want but so far I see no way to avoid them.
Is there an additional setting that I’ve overlooked?
Thanks again for your time and effort to assist me with this!Forum: Themes and Templates

I’m using a table to display images and their respective titles. Each image also has a link to an enlarged view. (So far I haven’t figured out how to adjust the enlarged view to full size) but my bigger problem is that when the enlarge view comes up there’s a sidebar for a blog (which I don’t have any interest in and would like to eliminate). Maybe with the extra space that it frees, my images will finally display full size (800px on longest edge we’re not talking HUGE).The address for the table is:
alpenglowcreations.comclick on any image in the table to see what I’ve described.

In reply to: Gallery theme for paintingsThanks so much for narrowing it down for me. I thought Photography Business looked to be the most simple but now that I’ve installed it, I see no way to “customize” it to look like the sample shown. I guess the default mode is at least 2 columns or a sidebar and I see no way to add titles (although I see them in the sample). All I want is images and titles under them. Maybe it’s too simple for a theme developer to bother with.
Learning some simple HTML may be easier than trying to find a simple layout. Thanks for your time and effort to help.

In reply to: Sign in problemHi Vlad,
Thanks for your patience. When WordPress works, it’s fine but when I can’t sign in to my own website using my user ID and password which should work and then I’m forced into messing with php programming which I know nothing about, that’s when I have a problem. I have no aspirations of being a web developer which is why I opted for WordPress. I have a very small website so, if forced to, I could start over with Wix or Weebly or some other web builder if I must but I’d rather stick with WordPress if possible (since I’m already familiar with it). On the other hand, if I can’t sign in to get to my Admin page, my website will be useless anyway. It’s a sad situation but I’m grateful that at least I don’t have a large complicated website if I’m going to have to start over again.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Sign in problemThe phpMyAdmin method also came with a warning. I don’t want to mess with anything that comes with a warning because I don’t trust myself NOT to make things worse.
I’d REALLY like the email to work like it should!Maybe I need to give up on this website and start over using something easier than WordPress.

In reply to: Sign in problemThanks Vlad,
I’m not comfortable editing php but the first option listed looks easy enough. The problem is how can I access the Administration Screen without logging in? Is there an address that I can type in to access the Administration screen directly?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Looking for General Webpage theme suggestionsAs I said, I stated in my original post, I’ve already tried using the filters “2 columns” and “photography” but the options that came up ALL looked like blogs (lists of posts). Is there any chance that there’s a list somewhere of the free WordPress themes BEST SUITED FOR WEB PAGES?

Zhanna,
Thank you so MUCH. The video was very clear. Sadly, I can’t think of a reason to order images by filesize, type or resolution. My only hope was to use description but your video has made it clear that is NOT an option either. I guess plan B would be to go back and rename each and every one of my 60 images. Not the response I had hoped for but you certainly did answer my question. Thanks again! Thanks for your reply Kim. As far as I know, I’m just using WordPress to insert my Photo Galleries. How would I know if I’m using something else. (I inherited this job from someone else so I’m not entirely certain how it was originally set up.)

In reply to: Need a reference to learn to Use the new BlocksThank you so much for the reply! The first link I opened “beginners-guide” lists a lot of things one should be able to do but the illustrations do not match the options I can see. The material specifically mentions “posts” but I work specifically on “pages”. Does that narrow down which of these links will be beneficial in learning Blocks? Hopefully I don’t have to wade through everything to get to the “Blocks” <fingers crossed> for a table of contents.
