yep I found the solution last night by updating my wp-config file, hence all links are pionting correctly now. Thanks for your time everyone.

nope, looks like we have a problem. as we do not have access to the C Panel.

Only way would be to start from scratch I assume? Could we trace which theme was used, although it looks like the name of the theme in the source is a custom one ??

editing the database requires admin access though doesn’t it? We don’t have that and this person is not willing to share it with us.

Is wordpress able to assist with issues like this?

The thing is, like I said, my audience is not comfortable using that stuff. So instead of educating my audience I’d much rather provide them with tools they are actually comfortable with….

Have I put it in the wrong spot perhaps?

When you refer to inserting a hardcoded link, Do you mean for me to put https://mydomain.com between the

and <?php wp_list etcetc?

I have found the answer to my own question. When putting a link I have to use the full URL (including https://) otherwise the links will default to the wrong folder.

how do I go about showing the categories? (Only on that page, not as a widget in the sidebar) I would like to be able to list the various categories I have at the top of the page (horizontal maybe)so people can select individual posts when they click on them.

The issue is my site is not a blog site. I use wordpress to run my entire site. What I wish to achieve is to be able to have ‘blog’ as one of the top navigational menu items.

What I am not sure about is if that means I have to install wordpress a 2nd time, but then in the folder called ‘blog’.

Can anyone assist me with my query? The page title for my home page cannot be customised. Does anyone have an answer to this issue?
