In reply to: [Localendar Calendar for WordPress] Localender offlineI believe you were experiencing this issue when we cut over from dedicated servers to a fully cloud-based infrastructure, and the DNS changes took longer than expected to propagate across the net.
Just wanted to close this issue out in case anyone was checking.
Please upgrade to the 1.2 version of the plugin and use the responsive iframe embed style. That’s the best way to ensure the localendar scripts and CSS don’t conflict with the scripts and CSS of your wordpress theme

In reply to: [Localendar Calendar for WordPress] Events as custom post types?No; we were created outside WordPress, and this plugin in a convenience method for WordPress users to merge in their localendar calendars.
Think of us as a similar solution to Google Calendars. There are many plugins that incorporate your off-site Google or iCal Calendars into WordPress. We are in that family of plugins, providing a way to integrate our off-site localendar data.
An advantage is that if you move off WordPress, you can take your calendar with you.

In reply to: [Localendar Calendar for WordPress] 2 calendars, one pagemultiple calendars where both are “fully” interactive are not supported. However, you can have multiple static calendars and 1 dynamic calendar (or if you go the iframe route, then you can have multiple interactive calendars)
No changes; just updated/tested for the latest WordPress release

In reply to: [Localendar Calendar for WordPress] Browser incompatibilitycsualum1994, If your calendar doesn’t appear and your site is using https://, make sure you precede your localendar include with https:// as well.
yasir123, if your calendar is cut off, you are either using an Iframe to publish it (and not setting the height correctly) or you may be pasting it into a part of your theme that has a fixed height DIV. I see you are using an Iframe, and have set the height to be *huge* to avoid the ‘clipping’ problem. Instead of the Iframe style, you might try using the “Fully interactive embedded calendar” style, which will auto-size the height automagically.
For the mini calendar widget, you customize the background color in the CSS you paste onto your site as part of including this widget. It’s the section of text that looks like this:
.localendar-hasEvents {
background:orange !important;
cursor: pointer;
}Sure – you can do this with a little custom javascript. Have a look here:

In reply to: [Localendar Calendar for WordPress] Uhh… What?Actually, this practice allows us to keep pace with the various wordpress installations we find people are using, and especially all the wonky JS scripts that are embedded in the thousands of wordpress themes. It would be messy to upgrade the plugin itself every time we make changes to accommodate the horrible CSS and JS we find in many custom skins.

In reply to: [Localendar Calendar for WordPress] Account neededThis plugin is similar to the various Google Calendar plugins (in that you host your calendar on Google… “some other site”)
For our users who either maintain their calendars on localendar, or want to import the calendars from localendar (or other iCal sources) onto their WP sites – this is the solution.
Further, I think you will be hard [word]pressed to find a calendar matching all of our features – or our longevity. We have been providing web calendars for over 14 years.
