In reply to: [WP101 Video Tutorial Plugin] Compatible with Woocommerce 5.0.0?Hi Xander,
Yes, the WP101 Plugin is compatible with WooCommerce 5.0.
?It looks like WooCommerce has started displaying a notice for ANY plugin that hasn’t explicitly declared support for WooCommerce. This is a new behavior, and a curious practice.
?
?We’ll look into this, but for now, rest assured that the WP101 Plugin is compatible with WooCommerce, as it has no dependence on or connection to WooCommerce.
?
??I hope this helps, but if you have further questions, please feel free to follow up anytime.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP101 Video Tutorial Plugin] WP101 Video Tutorial PluginHi,
I’m not really clear on your question. The WP101 Plugin provides video tutorials for the version of WordPress that is available for download from www.ads-software.com.
If your site is hosted on WordPress.com, you would first need to upgrade to their Business plan ($25/month) in order to install plugins like the WP101 Plugin.
But even then, you’ll find that our video tutorials are not a perfect match for the proprietary version of WordPress that customers of WordPress.com are presented with. While much of our content is applicable to both versions of WordPress, the UI is quite different on WordPress.com, so our video tutorials may not be the best fit.
Otherwise, just follow the usual steps for installing a plugin and you’ll be set!
?I hope this helps, but if you have any further questions, please feel free to follow up anytime.
Yes, the WP101 Plugin is compatible with and optimized for PHP 7. Hope this helps!

In reply to: [WP101 Video Tutorial Plugin] WP multisiteYes, and you’ll want to review the documentation so find out how to add your API key via a network-wide function, rather than having to manually activate the plugin on each site individually. Hope this helps!

In reply to: [WP101 Video Tutorial Plugin] Payment RequiredThanks for your question.
Actually, the WP101 Plugin qualifies as “Serviceware,” under point number 6 in the WordPress Plugin Directory Guidelines.
6. “Serviceware” plugins are defined as plugins that merely act as an interface to some external third party service (eg. a video hosting site). Serviceware plugins ARE allowed in the repository, as long as the code in the plugin meets all other conditions. These are allowed even for pay services, as long as the service itself is doing something of substance. Creation of a “service” which does nothing but to provide keys or licenses or anything similar for the plugin, while the plugin does all the actual work, is prohibited. Moving arbitrary code into the service so that it can appear to do some work is also prohibited. This will be handled on a case by case basis and our judgment on any given case is final.
The plugin was created and submitted to the repo by WordPress Lead Developer, Mark Jaquith.
Not all plugins in the repository are free. You’ll find a number of commercial plugins in the directory, including VaultPress, Akismet, and more. These all qualify as serviceware.
Hope this helps address your concerns, but please feel free to contact me at any time with other questions.

In reply to: [Genesis eNews Extended] Recipient “” has too many recent signup requestsHi Brandon,
I’m getting the same error on my site, ShawnHesketh.com. Have tried your recommendation to add the https://, but still getting the same error. I’m seeing it in iOS Safari, but also in Safari 10.1 on the desktop, Safari Technology Preview 22, and Chrome 55.0.2924.87.
Let me know if I can help troubleshoot this further.

In reply to: [WP101 Video Tutorial Plugin] Videos not working in Google ChromeHi Bryan,
I’ve just tested the plugin on three different test sites across three different hosting companies, and the videos are playing back perfectly in Chrome (as well as in Safari, and Firefox).
The videos are simply embeds from Vimeo, so you might verify that you’re able to view other embedded videos from Vimeo, to ensure that the videos aren’t being blocked by some settings on your computer.
I’m marking this as resolved, but if you continue to have issues, please feel free to follow up!
Thanks!

In reply to: [WP101 Video Tutorial Plugin] WP101 Install archive corrupt?Hi Bryan,
No idea why the install would have gotten corrupted. It’s been working just fine until today.
I just re-committed and it appears to be working again.
I’ve installed it on three different test sites using the default install process from the WP Plugin Repo, across three different hosting companies, and tested in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.
Then I repeated the test using a downloaded archive, and it’s working as well.
I’m marking this as resolved, but let me know if you continue to have issues.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Password Reset Form Not Working Part 2Contacted WP Engine support, and they were able to resolve this quickly by excluding ^/resetpass/ from their cache. Our members can now reset their passwords again.
They said it was failing because the cookies for the reset password link were being caught in cache.

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Password Reset Form Not Working Part 2@jeff Farthing WP101.com is hosted by WP Engine. They claim their servers are, “a combination of apache + Nginx + a dash of secret sauce.”
I have disabled the page-cache, object cache, and CDN for this site. They’re currently off, but we’re still experiencing the “invalid key” error.

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Password Reset Form Not Working Part 2Having the same issue as everyone else. WP 4.2.2, TML 6.3.12. Getting lots of irate email from our site’s members due to the “invalid key” error.
Like others, I am not using a custom
resetpass-form.php
template. And all caching is disabled for my site.
Jeff, I sent you admin credentials via email.
Any help would be more than appreciated!
